The MMA thread

I can't believe Tate gave up so easily...yeah she got tagged a bit but that choke wasn't sunk in at all...maybe it was a bit of a neck crank? She talks too much shit to be going out like that. That wasn't the Tate we saw v Holm.
She talks too much shit full stop.

Next round of logical fights:

HW - Cain v Miocic/Overeem winner

LHW - DC v Teixeira/Rumble winner

MW - Bisping v Jacare

WW - Lawler/Woodley v Thompson

LW - Alvarez v Khabib

FW - McGregor v Aldo

BW - Cruz v Garbrandt

FLW - Mighty Mouse v Reis

Women's BW - Nunez v Holm or if Holm loses to Shevchenko, Nunez v Pena

Women's SW - Jedrzejczyk v Namajunas
Sign me up!

It's true when they say styles make fights. I still believe that McGregor would fair much better against Dos Anjos or Alvarez as opposed to Diaz. Feel the latter will be his kryptonite, whereas I could see him KO'ing both the aforementioned, yet I couldn't see Nate beating Dos Anjos.
Most seemed to think Nate was the easiest match up before it actually happened because the fight would be kept standing. It was generally considered that fighters who'd take him to the ground are his worst match up such as RDA, Khabib and Alvarez.

Just popped in to say you lot gave me stick when I said the UFC should give Nunes a push and a title shot... :p

Aldo fecking destroyed Edgar. Looked sharper then he has in a while, I thought.
Lauzon was landing bombs on Sanchez and Sanchez was still standing at the end
Cain looked impressive too, now with added spinning back kicks!

Lauzon looking for the ref was funny, his face was like "Do I have to punch this guy into a coma or what ?"

Not sure what the UFC are smoking lining up Bisping with Henderson when there are about half a dozen fighters at MW who deserve a title shot before Hendo. They will now be in a situation where Bisping - someone who would likely get murdered in a rematch with Rockhold or against Weidman, Romero, or Jacare - will continue to be champ, or even worse, farcically have a 45 year old as MW champ.

its a good story to it

Hendo knocked Bisping out in one of the most famous finishes ever

I feel bad for Jacare. Seems like the UFC are never going to give him a shot. Although I will admit I am totally gonna enjoy Bisping - Henderson, yet feel guilty about it at the same time.

Missed all the events due to being in a village in Malaysia but advoided it all and saw everything back to back today.

The RDA vs Alvarez card was great. Duffy looked explosive, I thought bug country win but I like black beast so I'm ok with that. Very shocked at RDA, did not see that coming...

Well Brooks looked ok in the TUF card. Choi carries on his rise which is cool too see... He looks like a baby though. The Joanna fight went exactly as I thought it would.

UFC 200 was a flop of an event. Cain set the bar high, followed by a good fight between Aldo and Edgar. Good to see Aldo back but bitter sweet as I really like Edgar too. DC vs Silva was an abomination of a fight. Yes DC did what he had to but the UFC shouldn't have made that match as it was always going to go like that. Brock looked impressive considering his lay off. Hunt was manhandled. The main event should never have been Tate vs Nunes. I didn't care for it and Tate choked like a hooker taking on brocks cock on her first night.

Bisping vs Hendo? WTF? How many more times well they screw over Jacare?

Calling Jesus gay means no title shots for you.

That's the other guy Yoel Romero. He is a beast too and beat Jacare in a close split decision but then pissed hot for something, so that's kind of taken him out of the picture for a little while.

Trouble is that was 7 years ago and both fighters are in different phases of their careers at this point. If they wanted a quirky match up a better fight might've been Bisping v Nick Diaz.

It's almost a reward for both fighter's service to the UFC. Bisbing gets an "easier" title defence plus the chance to avenge a brutal loss. Hendo gets the chance to retire as champ.

If Bisbing wins, he fights the winner of Rockhold V Jacare. If Hendo wins and retires, Jacare v Rockhold for the vacant title.

Most insane week the UFC has ever had, Vegas has been surreal.

American MMA fans are awful, I can't understand it.

ufff Vannata is a talented guy. Gonna be a good addition to the roster.

Cucuy vs Alvarez next! make it happen. I think it wasn't his best performance but that can happen on a short notice fight, specially when all the pressure is on you.

This is the first ufc event that I missed and saw the results in over 5 years and it sounds like it was a belter. Really annoyed.
