Brave call, what's your thinking behind giving Cejudo the nod? His wrestling?

I think it will go to a close decision but still fancy Johnson to sneak the win based on his striking and 5 round experience.
I'm not sure. I mean Cejudo is different calibre to nearly most of the people MM has faced in my opinion as he is REALLY the best at at least one discipline (his Olympic level wrestling), whereas MM was usually better than most of his opponents in nearly every area so this will be a new challenge for him. I just have a sneaky feeling that this could play out like RR vs. Holm... but I doubt MM is that rash to try take on Cejudo as a wrestler but you never know. I think this may be a bit early for Cejudo but he has the mentality to beat MM and think he may surprise... I'm probably wrong though and MM will just strike his way to a UD

Johnson has faced Dominick Cruz in the past who you might consider 'elite', he did lose though and mostly due to TD's if I remember rightly but that was in the weight-class above. Seems to have been a lot better avoiding them since then.

You may be on to something though, can't say I've noticed Cejudo too much (it's not a division I'm too fond of) so it is hard for me to have a rounded opinion on him. The last year or so in the UFC would probably indicate that the belt is going to change hands some time soon.

Just came to post that tweet. Wonder what games he's playing? Or something has happened and he's being serious but I doubt it.

If it's not a joke then it might be that he's pissed off at Dana. Again, not bad.

Nah, i'm not believing it, even if he's suddenly decided that he's not arsed about fighting, he could show up and lose to Nate again and get a feckload of money.

How many times do you think Dana has tried to get in touch with him in the last hour?

Pretty sure he's having a laugh, he f*cking better be anyway as I've my trip to Vegas booked for July.

Helwani saying it's real? Well that's different then. Wonder what's going on?

Jones going straight in against Cormier was something, no one cares about Jones vs no one.

Oh well, at least all the real UFC/MMA fans will be happy he's gone and all the bandwagoner fans along with him. Nothing but a circus there for a while, shure.

Things can get back to normal now.

I'll never get this weird complex people have with others gaining interest in a sport on the back of someone. I assume you were about for UFC 1 and haven't missed an event since?

McGregor brought new eyes and fans to the sport, he raised interest in it hugely (along with Rousey in fairness) and as a result the company and him got a load of money and the ability to broaden their horizons in the sport and improve things. How are "bandwagon jumpers" really bad for a sport? If people are only arsed about McGregor and no other fighter does it really matter? If people have gained an interest in UFC/MMA and starting following it because of mcgregor surely that's only a good thing? And also a testament to him...I'm sure he's quite proud of that legacy he has created and rightfully so.

Has to be because of the death of Carvalho if it is legit. Fairly understandable if it is the case, he's always talked about getting in, getting rich and getting out.
