Do you reckon Mcgregor may go after Nick Diaz after this fight?

That's pretty poor though . Good TDD is more like resisting 80% of takedown attempts if not 90%. Aldo, Lawler, Gustaffson, Joanna all have great TDD. Conor not so much, which makes his success more incredible as he's managed to put people away before they can make it count.
Is it pretty poor for someone who is apparently poor in the takedown defence department to defend near to half of the takedown attempts of probably the best takedown artist in the division? That's my point, McGregor's takedown defence isn't as poor as people think, it also helps fighters are apprehensive to shoot takedowns on him because he's a beautiful striker and has incredible ability using momentum.

It is poor compared to his standing game. Look at Aldo, who is ridiculously hard to keep down and even take down. The comparison between the two is amazing. I reckon RDA would've gone for the take down in their fight, where he probably would've won if he succeeded.

Yes it is poor. TDD is Conor's weakness there's no doubt about it. Look at Aldo - Mendes 2 and then the Mendes - Mcgregor fight. McGregor is an exceptional fighter, but everyone has weaknesses.

At some point he will. I'd imagine Lawler is next though.
Rather RDA at UFC 200 if he wins this fight (And is in a condition to compete at 200). RDA is about the same size and there is already hype around it, meaning they can do more with promotion. Also, seeing Mcgregor against RDA is like seeing him against Aldo but with a bigger guy and it not being 13 seconds. Would be a better fight and would have no controversy surrounding it. Also, Lightweight has much better fighters to contend with compared to Welterweight.

On a separate note Nunes vs Shevchenko is quite a nice fight for the Womens Bantamweight division. One of those two could be a future champion.

Jon Jones vs Cormier. Cant see past Jones on that one.

I like Shevchenko. Holm Tate should be a great fight, it's not getting the attention it probably deserves either. Think Tate will fight smarter than Rousey did and could cause Holm some trouble.

I agree with you. I expect it will be a totally different type of fight for Holly. She probably won't look as impressive as she did against Rousey.

That was because Rousey was an idiot and chose to box against a boxing world champion. If she had stuck to what she does best she would've won.

She did try various takedowns as well to be fair but she couldn't do it. Got to give Holm credit there. I agree it was a bad game plan but it's not like Rousey didn't try her usual stuff, she did but it failed.

Did she? I remember she tried standing up with Holm, got rocked by a straight right and spent the rest of the fight clumsily chasing her around the ring.

Cant see it working myself. McGregor has ridiculous self belief here and didn't seem like it affected his self belief either. I also think Nate Diaz has been equally rattled by what Mcgregor did in the staredown. This isn't the one way "Nates all in Mcgregors head" picture that you are painting. Both have gotten to each other here, just in different ways. McGregor has reacted with anger and Diaz has reacted by being shaken by it.

I don't think Diaz expected Conor to hit his hand like that. He thought that if he poked Conor very little will happen physically. That Conor was just a trash talker. He isn't, the guy is a complete nut case who really will go to any lengths all things considered. You get a lot of those guys in the UK lower classes. People who are as sketchy as feck and will turn on the drop of a hat.

Conor isn't from the UK dumbass, he's from Lucan, in the republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is connected to the UK.

He's actually from Crumlin, and there's no need to call him a dumbass.

Jon Jones would decimate Conor.

Also, their constant banging on about Precision beats power and timing beats speed. Annoys me. Imagine them in a proper fight trying to apply that.

Never seen some drunk chump throw a haymaker in a pub and some less pissed bloke dodge it and clean him out. Same principle

Yeah I'll apologize for that one. On first read i thought he was having a dig at lower class UK culture.
Not at all. Just saying quite a few people I know from lower/working class areas in the UK are a lot like Mcgregor. Where they can turn on the drop of a hat really and will go to extremes to "beat" you, so to speak. Not saying all lower class/working class population do that, just I have known quite a few from lower class like that in the UK.

I think he still had to cut, there was talk of him walking around at 177lbs the week before the fight, that's what sparked all the steroid talk from Diaz.
Why did he cut to 168?

How easy/difficult is it to cut to exactly dead on what you need to be out of interest?

I need to get work done anyway so I might just pull the all nighter and get stuff done in the down time between fights.

He's obviously not going to reveal that knowing that the cameras are following him around .
Lol. So behind the scenes footage is not the way to judge? I really don't think Mcgregor thinks that far ahead.

There are fecking cameras everywhere, as in at the hotel and other places. He is clearly playing to them.

Of course he plays to the camera

What do you mean by he doesn't think that far ahead?

If there is one thing he is brilliant at its thinking far ahead
