The MMA thread

It was brilliant.

And to think there was a day when Dana said no woman would ever enter the octagon to fight.

What a first round...Ill give it to Dos Anjos....Showtimes eye is fecked up...Dos Anjos needs to remember this is five rounds

Only way Pettis is walking out of this ring with his belt is if he gets a KO or Sub...hes done as far as the cards go.

I called it before, seeing his brother get knocked out badly before tonight can't have been good for his preparation.

Lets see if theres one dumbass judge who doesnt give this 50-45 on the scorecards!

Now Khabib's time will come. Dos Anjos is improved but if Khabib grabs hold of him then forget about it for anyone.

Anyone have a link to the Pettis - Dos anjos fight? Wasn't able to stay awake

Glad my boy Overeem won! Was shitting myself in the final 10 seconds of the fight but it panned out! RDA was very impressive. Was painful watching Esparza get busted up like that. All the fights were very one sided...

Dos Anjos fully deserved that. Especially fighting with an injured knee.

That cookie monster chick got annihilated. It was hard to watch.

HOly shit, that nut shoot Nelson took from Overeem was ridiculous.

Ahaha I was watching with some friends and when we saw the replay I said "Looks like a Rick James cnut punt". He literally lifted him off the ground with it. Hilarious, I mean, hilarious to see, possibly the worst thing in the history of humanity if it happened to you.

And to get such a knee from an 18 stone, 6'4", roided up, elite level kickboxer as well. It really is the stuff of nightmares. He is literally the worst person in the world to get hit in the balls by.

Warning, this may make your eyes water...

Massive Muay Thai shows really heavily advertised in Bangkok and now here in Koh Samui.
Has anyone been to a fight night in Thailand? Sounds cool but my missus is moaning about the price and the fact it goes on for three hours.
This was last night. Anyone heard of the English bloke?

I went to an event in that same stadium, I think? Or is there more than one stadium in Koh Samui?

The night I went, it turned out that it was all underage fighters. I got massively perturbed by watching skinny wee kids knocking lumps out of each other and only lasted 30 minutes. Are tickets expensive? Was cheap as chips when we went. With hindsight, that should have been our first hint we weren't going to see the real deal!

Think there's only one stadium here. In Bangkok they were all over and they had an outdoor ring by the national stadium. Wasn't on the days I was there though.
This one costs about £24 each for a ticket. Hardly bank breaking but expensive for here.
Bangkok made the missus in particular weirdly cheap. Spent thousands on the flights and hotels, but after eating well with drinks for £12 or so there, she finds Koh Samui really expensive cos it's probably nearer £20 for the same.
She will only last one bout i reckon too, making it less value for money. Kids elbow smashing each other would be a bit disconcerting.

Apparently Corriera will get Rousey as the headliner in UFC 190....good luck sellling that PPV.....wont even be close.
