The MMA thread

Aww feck this. Great fight by Jacare, but utterly gutted. Not sure where Mousasi goes from here. I still feel/hope he can beat the likes of Kennedy and Bisping, but unless he can somehow cut to welterweight and do a Robbie Lawler he won't be winning titles. Jacare is a monster of a middleweight but I was still a bit shocked at how much more massive he was.

Wonder will Reem be cut? That's 3 loses out of his last 4 - finished each time
Yeah could be, I don't think him and Dana get on well either. It would be a shame, I'd like to see how he does with a bit more time at Jacksons. As others have said he keeps getting caught when dominating.

Such a lazy left where he's knocked out, like Hendo he just turns his head a bit as he throws that jab just eating the rights that come over it.

Still, I'd watch him fight again, he's always in entertaining fights (except with Mir).

Overeem is such a clown. I always tune into his fights as they are all the same (which is entertaining). He starts off dominating then any sort of hit to his head and he becomes jelly. I was expecting great things when he came UFC but he seems as dangerous as Frank Mir these days.

Also, Moussasi seemed like an extra from The Walking Dead. He seemed half asleep on that fight. I'm shocked he didn't just fall asleep mid way. Disappointed.

I think Overeem is just ridiculously arrogant. He fights better vs bigger names but when he fights perceived weaker opponents he just drops his hands and starts coasting. Everyone in the heavyweight division has heavy hands and Overeem needs to start respecting that.

Overeem just has really low fight iq. He should be doing what he's good at, clinching and kneeing and working inside instead of the bullshit he does now.

I wouldn't cut him though as he is usually great entertainment and the HW division needs all it can get.

By the way there is an awesome Jack Slack breakdown of Conor Mcgregor. I would link to it but I'm on my phone. It's on fightland vice. He basically calls Mcgregor the future of MMA because of his ability to incorporate techniques from lots of different styles and use them effectively. Can't wait for Sept 27th!
