Yeah it depends how hard Khamzat hits maybe? Because Diaz usually grows into a fight... I really really hope he stop the hype train and walks into the sunset. The way it's being made to sound, Diaz is just fodder in this fight. I don't see it that way at all.
The narrative goes that he'll maul him and take care of business with his wrestling. I simply don't believe he won't be consumed by is massive ego and the atmosphere. He's easily goaded and Nate is about custom made to tap into and draw him into mindless scrapping.Yeah it depends how hard Khamzat hits maybe? Because Diaz usually grows into a fight... Hamzat should've called Paolo an inflated Ricky Martin doll.
You don´t think Khamzat is talented? Or am i interpreting you wrong?@Dirty Schwein another example of how stupid and easily goaded Khamzat is. I doubt he'll be anything but worse if the fight goes ahead.
Whatever talent some believe him to have is consumed by ego and immaturity. There's no way someone like that is listening to his corner in the heat of a wild battle in front of a taunting opponent and baying crowd.
Nate's team will be telling him this kid is mentally fragile and that his head is easily drawn away from the task at hand. I'd be sure to have Nate in shit-talking overdrive if I was instructing.
Think he's saying that mentally he's a bit thick/egotistical.You don´t think Khamzat is talented? Or am i interpreting you wrong?
Pretty sure he is saying that, no argues thereThink he's saying that mentally he's a bit thick/egotistical.
I mean it's hard to tell. Burns was his first real test and he nearly fecked it. Nate will be a different kind of test. Then I wanna see him take on a top 5 if he gets through Nate. Preferably Colby... If he gets through him... Sure, give him a title shot.Pretty sure he is saying that, no argues there
Also worded it like he didn´t think he was talented, which is quite an unusual view on Khamzat!
If a guy can take on a top competitor like Burns and win with just 4-5 years of experince of the sport i would definitely say that the talent is there 100%. Another question if he has the mentally to translate it into belts.I mean it's hard to tell. Burns was his first real test and he nearly fecked it. Nate will be a different kind of test. But mentality is SO important... There have been many athletes with talent but mentality destroys them. Our own Ravel is one... On the cusp of getting everything a footballing lad could want but didn't have the mentality to take it. Although that's an extreme example, Khamzat needs to learn to calm down or he will struggle against the top of that division I feel as those guys are calculated cardio monsters. If a guy can take on a top competitor like Burns and win with just 4-5 years of experince of the sport i would definitely say that the talent is there 100%. I think talent is relative and this kid isn't a young Jones or Mighty Mouse. He looks good; he doesn't look great, but is being painted and billed as such and that hype seems to be consuming him.You don´t think Khamzat is talented? Or am i interpreting you wrong?
Yeah, the promotion and buzz surrounding him gets a bit tiresome. But i can honestly understand some of it since no one could even touch him before Burns.I think talent is relative and this kid isn't a young Jones or Mighty Mouse. As soon as he met a real contender he fell in line with what you expect at the top end of a division. If he was a young prodigy like the aforementioned, he would've ran through Burns like Jones and MM did during their respective unstoppable rises to the top.
He may well win on Saturday, but if he loses, it won't be anything like the surprise or upset it's being billed as, to me at least.
You're being silly. Jones and mighty mouse are pretty much two of the greatest ever. His talent combined with how little time he's been in the game is comparable to the likes of Gane. A top prospect and future champ material.I think talent is relative and this kid isn't a young Jones or Mighty Mouse. That’s the thing: humility or at least being dignified. At the moment he’s like a jumped up teenager and even if he’s physically at one level, mentally - in terms of maturity - he’s miles behind the curve and it’s a massive weakness to be exploited, imo.Yeah, the promotion and buzz surrounding him gets a bit tiresome. But i can honestly understand some of it since no one could even touch him before Burns.
Burns fight was the first time he got tested, even just a little bit, so can understand to some degree if he didn´t really know how to handle the situation.
Tought it would be a humbling experience for him but it doesn´t seem to be that way so far at least. Let´s see if approaches Nate a bit differently.
Agreed, honestly bit surprised that so many seems to think that Nate has zero chance to win this. He has a lot of experience of big 5 round fights and this is the first time for Khamzat so expecting it to be at least interesting.
He’s being billed as someone who his head and shoulders above his division who can easily go up and become a double-champ. The hype is well ahead of the fighter as things stand.
Hamzat should've called Paolo an inflated Ricky Martin doll.
But it isn’t, and he doesn’t have that something about him that you see in the sure things, for me. As I said, the moment he met better competition he just looked like par for the course and what you expect to see in the top 5 - the special fighters don’t stop there; they look like it’s a matter of time and remain an equidistance from those generally in the top 5, or certainly until you get to number 1, maybe 2 contender. If you see Burns as that, you’ll say Khamzat is on that trajectory, but there are much greater threats in the division. His trajectory is comparable to DC. Nunes and Mcgregor the other double champs. Compare what they were doing 5 fights into the UFC.
The UFC hype is always going to be cringe, they love their "greatest ever/never been seen before" stuff over there.
Imagine all the weed money Nate will earn if Hamzat has to give him part of his purse.
Nate V Tony in the works
