The FM10 Player Experiment (I won't abandon this one, I totally promise)

I've progressed very nicely in the last 3 seasons or so, excellent update Nimic.

Not had a major impact, but the Fiorentina team nonetheless!

Great update again niMic.

released by thatcham and then signed by Villa....so i just spent a year doing nothing i guess? :(

thats not too bad though, should get a good chance to develop at villa, especially since they have been getting into the top four apparently....CL football is mine!

I'm a bit of a whore, huh?

Oh well, Bryne... At least I'd be getting a chance to jam with Kaizers Orchestra.

I WILL BE AN INFLUENTIAL NOGGY STRIKER YET! :@

Brilliant update!

"Hearts is a dream move"? no chance!!! Aim higher!!!

Bloody hell, UAE's, Muller's and UBER's stats are ridiculous. Here's hoping my move to Preston helps me blossom into the next Giggsy, though with my low mental attributes and slightly flaky physical stats, I'm more likely on course to become the next Denilson.

New Shearer....so I will end up with one PL title and a heap load of goals of Newcastle and England.

All whilst rejecting United twice.

2014-2015 (1)

Anthony van der Shark – SharkyMcShark

Yet another season where Anthony van der Shark decided to stay at Kingston City, and yet another season where he absolutely dominated the poor league. Spending most of the season as a striker, he scored 29 goals in 33 games, with 8 assists as an added bonus. Despite being very ambitious, he was apparently still happy to stay at the club. It meant he also hadn’t seen a call-up for either national team, though he had played some U21 games for Australia.
Weeks injured: 0 (1 total)

Arturo Scavelli - Solius

Arturo Scavelli had a decent season with Vicenza, though one that ended in disappointment. He played 31 league games for the season, scoring no goals, but providing 9 assists, with a slightly poor average rating of 6.73. He continued to feature for the italian U21 team, though he was still some way off the full national side. The season was a good one for Vicenza, achieving 6th and a promotion playoff battle that they lost in the end. Having just signed a new contract, it was looking increasingly likely that Scavelli would spend at least another season at the club.
Weeks injured: 13 (15 total)

Bob Loblaw - Ivor Ballokov

2014/15 was a decent season for Bob Loblaw. As expected he stayed at Aston Villa, and he upped his game for both club and country. He played somewhat fewer league games than last season, only 13, but in this he played very well. He had ample opportunity to show how versatile he was, as he was being almost exclusively played as a central midfielder for Northern Ireland, and almost exclusively as a right back for Aston Villa. The season was a good one for Aston Villa, finishing 7th, as opposed to 12th last season, meaning Bob Loblaw would be playing in Europe the next season.
Weeks injured: 6 (21 total)

Das Wálross - Walrus

Like Loblaw, Das Wálross stayed at Aston Villa, and also like Loblaw he played fewer games than the previous season. He played a lot fewer games, though: just 3 league games, down from 16 last season. The Reo-Coker – Gago central midfield pairing was just too solid to break up. He played well for the reserves, though, and decently in the opportunities he got for the first team, so chances were good that he’d manage to wrestle a place from either of the ageing midfielders for next season.
Weeks injured: 3 (3 total)

Dominik Geiger - nyrfan818

Having finally made a move away from YF Juventus last season, Domonik was still getting settled in at his new club, Lens. He only got to play in 7 league games for the season, scoring twice. His overall level of play was quite poor, an average rating of just 6.36, but then he is still young and learning. His club didn’t have a very good season either, finishing a single point above relegation, with the second worst goal difference in the league. Still, Geiger was an ”important first team player”, so perhaps he would see more action next season.
Weeks injured: 0 (13 total)

Ed Weatherall - Ed Weatherall

2014/15 was an eventful season for Ed Weatherall. At the end of July Scottish Premier League club St. Johnstone came in with a £350k bid that both he and the club decided to accept. Then in september he made his first full appearance for Wales, adding another 6 throughout the season. This also meant that he now had great respect for Wales manager Craig Bellamy. The winger played 23 league games, on both wings, scoring 7 goals and providing 8 assists, with a good average rating of 7.41.
Weeks injured: 1 (21 total)

Emile Messi - x42bn6

Emile Messi continued to improve in his very own special way. He also upped his game for Zenit quite significantly, though he played less than half as many league games as last season. In 12 league games he managed to score 4 goals and provide antoher 6, for an excellent average rating of 7.49, his best yet. Despite being styled ”outspoken, short-tempered and confrontational”, there were few signs of any discontent at Zenit, though you wouldn’t want to put money on it staying that way.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Erik Sørheim - Eriku

It was a big season for Erik Sørheim, in more than one way. For one, he failed to suffer a single injury, for the first and only time yet. And then there was his £725k transfer to Udinese, drastically increasing the level of skill on both his competition and his team-mates. There he played a full 27 league games, roughly half as a striker and half as an attacking midfielder. He only scored 5 goals, but his general level of play wasn’t all that bad. Though the club finished in a disappointing 10th, Sørheim started and played the entire Italian Cup Final, sadly ending in defeat.

2014-2015 (2)

Fat Ronaldo - AlwynP

Fat Ronaldo had a very good season, though he suffered his first two injuries, quite severe ones at that. After his fine return of 5 goals in 8 games in the half season he played last year, people were expecting goals from him this season as well. And he provided them, scoring 25 in 33 league games, with 4 assists and a very good average rating of 7.47. He was also appointed vice-captain for the club, as a reward for his fine play. His squad status was now ”indispendable to the club”.
Weeks injured: 20 (20 total)

Frank Vulgar - FranklyVulgar

Frank Vulgar seemed to be stuck in a bit of a rut. He wasn’t featuring for the U21s very much, he wasn’t called up to the full national squad, and he wasn’t getting offers from big clubs. He also played fewer league games this season than last, and fewer last season than the one before. This season he only played 7 league games, though he scored 4 and provided 7 assists, an amazing return, with an equally amazing average rating of 8.73. He suffered a few injuries, but not enough to account for all the missing games, but only the future will tell what... well, the future will hold.
Weeks injured: 7 (80 total)

Hassan Emirati - uae

Having had a very good season last time around, Hassan Emirati was hoping he could do the same this season, though Stoke were back up with the big boys in the Premier League. He could. Hassan Emirati played all 38 league games, scoring an impressive 22 goals, with 7 assists to top it off, and a wonderful average rating of 7.51. In the end he finised 4th on the topscorers list, just 4 behind winner Macheda. Unfortunately he couldn’t save his club, who went straight back down again, like two years ago, and four years ago. Emirati also made his England debut, ensuring England manager Paul Jewell had a special place in his heart. At the end of the season his fine performances had caught the eye of German giants Schalke 04, and a £7.5 million move was already agreed on.
Weeks injured: 0 (19 total)

Haych Ess Jay - HsJ

Having moved clubs last season, and the season before that, Haych Ess Jay decided that he might as well make it three in a row, as he was sold to Shakthar Donetsk for £7.5 million. There his physical and mental development really skyrocketed, though he was still lacking somewhat on the technical side (if not quite at Messi-levels). He played well enough in the 33 league games he featured in, getting 9 goals and 3 assists, with a decent average rating of 6.72. He was yet to earn a cap, though he was still determined on waiting for a Brazill call-up.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Jacob - Jacob

Having moved to Nancy only the season before, Jacob didn’t hesistate when Italian giants Juventus put in a £1.3 million bid for his services. He was a normal sight on the bench, though he got the chance in 6 league games, scoring 3 goals and generally playing very well. In addition to his former tutor, Gabi, Juventus and Sweden manager Erik Hamrén found himself in Jacob’s high regard. At Juventus parallells were quickly drawn between him and Felipe Melo, though in the end Diego was the one who was put as his tutor, a relationship that is sure to be fruitful. He also gained his first cap, perhaps no surprise with the club manager who brought him there also the national team manager.
Weeks injured: 0 (6 total)

Jon Muller - muller

Though Jon Muller had quite enjoyed his two seasons at Leeds, and indeed now counted them amongst his favourite clubs, a feeling that was proven mutal as he was chosen the 13/14 Supporters Player of the Year, he also saw the need to step it up a notch. And when Benfica came in with a big £10.5 million bid, he had no qualms about accepting it. And step it up a notch he did. In 21 league games the midfielder, playing equally in central midfield and right wing, scored 6 goals and provided 12 assists, with an incredible average rating of 8.32. At the young age of 20, Jon Muller was quickly turning out to be one of the best young midfielders in Europe.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Karan Mittal - Karan Mittal

Karan Mittal had joined Nancy with Jacob, but he didn’t leave when Jacob did. And his loyalty was rewarded with a regular spot in the starting eleven, as he played 25 league games, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists. He was still quite a bit away from a complete winger, but the Ligue 1 first team football was certainly helping. Though he didn’t feature more for the national side, he was a regular feature in the squad itself, and he was still only 20 years old. With another couple of years left on his contract, it would be interesting to see whether he chose to spend them at Nancy, or move on to better things.
Weeks injured: 4 (10 total)

Klaus von Überreich - UBERScholes

Having only played a few games last season, Klaus von Überreich was hoping he could contribute more this season, and he was obliged. In 32 league games the midfielder scored 8 goals and provided 7 assists, with a good average rating of 7.43. He also scored in the FA Cup Final, though his one goal wasn’t enough to off-set the 4 Arsenal goals. In the end United finished 5th in the league, just out of reach of the Champions League. Argentina manager Walter Samuel also granted him his first official Argentina appearance, and added another 6 shortly, a fact Klaus von Überreich was eternally grateful for. He also scored his first goal, against Wales.

2014-2015 (3)

Markus "Stobzilla" Elstob - Stobzilla

Markus Elstob was another player who stayed for his first club for several seasons, switched clubs last season, and then immediately switched clubs again the next season. When Italian CL-candidate Genoa came in with a £925k bid, he was quick to accept. He played 14 league games, scoring 5 goals with 1 assist. He also played 6 Champions League games, scoring 3 goals, one of them being the 82nd minute equalizer away to Bayern Munchen that inspired the eventual 2-1 win. He also secured at least 4 vital points with his goals in the league. He was yet to play internationally, though he was a regular feature in the Italian U20 squad, where he’s also vice captain.
Weeks injured: 18 (29 total)

Neil Duck - cold-zebra

Having been involved in two seasons at all his three previous clubs, chances were always that he would stay at least for the second at Porto as well. And he’ll be glad he did, as he had a brilliant season. In 30 league games the versatile defender scored 7 goals, with 4 assists and a fantastic 12 MoM awards. An average rating of 8.11 wasn’t too bad either. He also starred in Porto’s Europa League campaign, becoming Man of the Match when they were knocked out of the competition by Spanish side Real Sporting. He continued to feature for Ireland, and now had 16 caps and one goal.
Weeks injured: 0 (21 total)

Nigel Tufnel - GDH

Having had two quite poor season, if one quite better than last, Welsh wonderkid Nigel Tufnel was hoping to finally show what he was capable of. And that he did. In 34 league games he scored a decent 15 goals, adding 2 assists, for a 6.93 average rating that was quite better than the previous season. He played even better in Fiorentinas Europa League campaign, scoring 9 goals in the 14 games. Among them were the first and last goals in a 4-0 home win over Juventus that saw them win 4-3 on aggregate, the last being in the 90th minute. He also played in the final, where his club beat Marseille, though he was the worst player on the pitch and missed his penalty in the shootout.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Nimicinho - niMic

Having only played a couple matches last season, Nimicinho was finally given a proper chance at Ajax. In 11 league games he scored a great 11 league goals, for an average rating of 7.75. He also featured a few more times in the Norwegian national side. Because he was at Ajax, he got the obligatory Eredivisie winners medal, though he missed out on the Dutch Cup, as he sat on the bench when his side was soundly beaten by AZ. After the season he was also shortlisted for the Dutch Young Player of the Year award, which he won.
Weeks injured: 3 (3 total)

Paz - Paz

After five seasons at lowly Boldmere, you would think a player with Paz’ ambition would look for a move to something higher, particularly since it was starting to hinder his growth as a player. But no, he was apparently enjoying captaining the Semi-Pro Midlands Football Alliance side too much to leave quite yet. He was also about to become too old to feature for the Spanish U19 side, so if he wants to play internationally in the future, he’ll need to move. He plaed 33 league games, with 5 goals and 6 assists.
Weeks injured: 0 (2 total)

Sebastien Cassel - Erics collar

Having played all this time in the same club, FC Les Lilas, Sebastien Cassel finally decided it was time to move on to bigger and better things. So when Ligue 2 side SC Bastia came up with a £350k bid, he didn’t hesitate to accept. Despite the massive increase in competiton, his performances didn’t go down a lot at all. He went straight into the team, and in 25 league games contributed 6 goals and 2 assists, with an average rating of 7.05. He was also in the French U21 side, seeming content with that.
Weeks injured: 8 (9 total)

Smashed Hombre - SmashedHombre

Though he was still young, Smashed Hombre was looking to make a name for himself quickly. It certainly helped that he got to play exactly twice as much for CCC side Preston as last season, 32 league games. In that time the left winger managed 4 goals and 6 assists, with a decent average rating of 6.82. He was still a bit behind the rest on the development of his technical skills in particular, but the regular first team football was sure to help. Though he’d probably want to move somewhere else to keep that up, as he saw his club relegated from the Championship.
Weeks injured: 4 (23 total)

Tor Lawless - FlawlessThaw

For the second season in a row, Tor Lawless played markedly better than the season that came before. In 30 league games, the midfielder scored 8 goals, providing another 6, with a decent average rating of 6.95. Considering this was in a mid-table Burnley side, that’s not all bad for a 20-year old who’s entire part experience was with Altrincham. He played some more for the U21 side, and was selected vice-captain. He still had two years left on his contract, and no club in particular was monitoring him, but then Burnley was a good place for a young player to learn the trade.

dear dear dear, things not going well for the walrus it seems. Shame because ive had decent stats so far, though getting overtaken a bit now.

 Excellent again niMic! Any chance you could reupload my screenshot? Says the server is offline. Same for Frank Vulgar.

Thanks for the update!

Kind of a strange feeling, me scoring my first international goal against the Welsh, my actual second nationality, whilst playing for my made up second nationality. Am I really so ashamed to be Welsh that I'm pretending to be Argentinian?

Another good year for my player, next year I should be at a European Super Club :D

Looking at other players, Hsj's mental stats are a bit mental

Thanks for the update again Nimic

Never fear, next season you and I will take that villa midfield for our own.

Thanks for the update!

Stop making united shite Uber and stop scoring against the welsh.

Cheers niMic.

Hmm, well 15 goals in 9 youth caps is quite a good record, so hopefully once a bigger team spots my guy his form in the league should spike.

If the server is offline, does that mean it will come back shortly, or that I'll have to upload it? Let's give it a bit, and if it doesn't come back soon I'll upload them again.

You have to wonder how HSJ hasn't even been capped for England's youth side with stats like those.

Ha now are people getting an average rating of 8+ over the course of a season? I didn't think that was even possible!

Ha now are people getting an average rating of 8+ over the course of a season? I didn't think that was even possible!

Partly because they're playing in leagues I haven't included. Also partly because I'm not actually fully simulating any matches (except some internationals). That tends to make for better performances overall by good players.

Genoa ? not really mate we've on just met.

BOOM! I thought I'd play for England to be honest, my somewhat Itallian heritage is very satisfied though.

Cheers nimic. my player is completely rubbish. Looks like I'm on course to become a one club man and possible Preston North End Legend, huzzah!

I definitely LOLed at seeing Bellamy as Wales manager. I'll need to up my goal return to keep in contention!

Decent jump in stats for my guy this season, Fiorentina is helping him progress well. He had a great time in the Europa League for sure. Last minute winner against Juve surely makes up for the penalty miss in the final though... right? :nervous:

Great update niMic, it's quite interesting to see everyone's players advancing at different speeds.

No pics! Still a great update!

I can see them now

Neil Duck has taken to the Portugese league like a duck to water.

Woop... a settled season in terms of injuries, and decent overall performances in my first season in the Serie A. More than Ole Gunnar could point to when he was 20 ;)

Great updates, btw :D
