The FM10 Player Experiment (I won't abandon this one, I totally promise)

Would've liked to play for Armenia rather than Sweden, can't complain about my course of carreer though.

Would have preferred to play for England than Saint Lucia, but at least it's not American Samoa...

I'm not sure why my player is waiting to play for Brazil instead of England...actually, I do.

I wanted to play for Germany, but left Argentina open thinking Germany might end up with a fake team

Just wanted to see if he'd return to Germany after his families long exile in Argentina

Well, my player is holding out for Brazil, I think he should cut his losses and get some caps under his belt for England.

Good update there

Yeah now I think we're allowed to be impatient :p

2015-2016 (1)

This update came in at the end of June, as opposed to the start of it like most other updates, because a few players were involved in the 2016 European Championship.

Anthony van der Shark – SharkyMcShark

Anthony van der Shark stayed at Kingston City for yet another season, yet again dominating the league. In 33 league games he scored 23 goals and provided 7 assists, with an average rating of 7.22. He had achieved a national reputation, so it came as a big surprise that he still hadn’t been truly coveted by any bigger clubs. Being at a part-time club he still hadn’t seen a call-up from either Australia or France, and it didn’t seem likely it would come as long as he stayed there.

Arturo Scavelli - Solius

Though it looked like Arturo Scavelli would spend another season at Vicenza, he only stayed for another half a season. The £3.9 million offer from Liga Adelante side Murcia was too good to turn down, both for club and player. There he played better than he had at Vicenza, scoring 4 goals and providing another 5 assists in only 12 league games. He still hadn’t learnt a word Spanish, but he was enjoying playing for the club. Murcia won the league in dominant fashion, meaning Scavelli would get to play in the top tier of Spanish football next season.
Weeks injured: 10 (25 total)

Bob Loblaw - Ivor Ballokov

2015/16 was a spectacular season for Bob Loblaw. Having been a regular on the bench last season, he was a regular on the pitch season. In 33 league games he got one goal and 8 assists, but he was chosen Man of the Match an amazing 13 times, and had a brilliant average rating of 7.99. Aston Villa had a decent season, finishing 7th yet again. Loblaw also took a liking to Villa-manager Brian Laws, and stated openly that he thought Das Wálross was a good player who he enjoyed playing with. He also featured a few more times for Northern Ireland, solidifying his position there. At the end of the season he won the Players’ Young Player of the Year award.
Weeks injured: 1 (22 total)

Das Wálross - Walrus

Just like Loblaw, Das Wálross suddenly found himself a regular feature in the first team. He played a full 33 league games this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists from his midfield position, with a good average rating of 7.23. He was enjoying playing for the club, and now counted them amongst his very favourite clubs. Finally he finished 3rd in the Players’ Young Player of the Year award. He also made his England debut, and was included in the England 2016 EC squad. He was probably the best English player of the tournament, and scored his first international goal late in a game against Belgium, securing a point. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough, as England went out of the group stages (Holland and Belgium over England and Portugal).
Weeks injured: 0 (3 total)

Dominik Geiger - nyrfan818

While this season was a lot better for Dominik Geiger than the previous one, it was still far from as good as he would have hoped for. He played 15 league games for RC Lens, scoring 4 goals with a fairly mediocre average rating of 6.58. Nor did he manage to secure a spot for the full Swiss national side, though he proclaimed himself happy to be part of the U21 side, where he continued to feature. He also made it known that he was honoured to be at the same club as attacking midfielder Clément Grenier.
Weeks injured: 5 (18 total)

Ed Weatherall - Ed Weatherall

2015/16 was a decent season for Ed Weatherall, better in some areas than others. He had a fairly average first season after his £4 million move to Hearts, scoring 4 and providing 4 in 27 league games, for a decent average rating of 7.02. At the end of the season he was being watched by Turkish Kayserispor. The highlight of his season came after the league season had ended, and the European Championships started. Craig Bellamy had somehow masterminded Wales a spot, and Ed Weatherall was a big part of that. Wales eventually went out in the group stages, last in the group, behind Croatia, Israel and Switzerland, but Weatherall put in a good shift all the same.
Weeks injured: 29 (50 total)

Emile Messi - x42bn6

Despite earlier suspicions of footballing infidelity and controversy, Emile Messi’s career was turning out to be rather mundane. After three full seasons at Zenit, a fourth one having just started, he was still enjoying playing for the club. He continued to play for the first team, and play well, and he continued to play for the St Lucia first team, which he captained. Last season he played 31 league games, with 9 goals and 10 assists. This season he had started very well, scoring three times in the first six games. He was yet to suffer a single injury.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Erik Sørheim - Eriku

Having just played a slightly less than average season with Udinese, Erik Sørheim was hoping that he would get used to the level of completion for this season. And he did. He was played exclusively in the attacking midfielder position in an offensive 3-4-1-2 formation, and he excelled. In 30 league games he scored 10 goals, with 5 assists and an excellent average rating of 7.61. Though his club failed to win a trophy, Sørheim’s performances didn’t go unnoticed, as he gained a Starting XI position in the Serie A Team of the Year, next to Sneijder in midfield.
Weeks injured: 4 (52 total)

2015-2016 (2)

Fat Ronaldo - AlwynP

Having had a great second season with Motherwell, Fat Ronaldo was becoming an increasingly wanted commodity, though not enough to secure him a spot in England’s European Championship squad. He started the new season still at the club, but after a further two league games he was sold to Premiership side Wolves for £4.7 million. There the England U21 captain played 29 league games, scoring 8 goals and providing a further 6 assists, with an average rating of 6.90. He was happy playing for the English U21s, but having just turned 21, it was becoming increasingly likely that he would choose to play for Ireland if he wasn’t called up soon.
Weeks injured: 1 (21 total)

Frank Vulgar - FranklyVulgar

Though he had dominated proceedings at Galway United in earlier seasons, the 2015 season was a new high. In 20 league games the defender/midfielder scored 8 goals, adding an astonishing 17 assists, being chosen Man of the Match in fully half of the games. His average rating was a brilliant 8.44. Perhaps this season convinced him it was finally time to move higher in the ranks of football, as he refused to sign a new contract with Galway, and when it expired on January 6th, he left the club. Surprisingly he didn’t resign for another club yet, though several clubs were currently considering it, including Cardiff and Leeds.
Weeks injured: 4 (84 total)

Hassan Emirati - uae

Things went well at his new club, as Emirati played 31 league games, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists, with an excellent average rating of 7.76. After only one season he was already considered amongst the clubs favoured personnel. Reversely, he already considered Schalke one of his favourite clubs, and already had a rudimentary grasp of German. Perhaps part of it was due to Schalke’s great season, which saw them win the Bundesliga trophy 8 points ahead of Bayern München, and reach the quarter finals of the Europa League. Emirati was chosen in the Bundesliga Team of the Year, became Schalke Supporters’ Player of the Year, and won the German Footballer of the Year award. Hamirati only got to see action in one game during the EC, coming on in the only win against Portugal, as England were dumped out in the group stages.
Weeks injured: 0 (19 total)

Haych Ess Jay - HsJ

Haych Ess Jay had moved clubs three times in a row, and decided to go for a record, moving clubs again. An £18 million move to Inter made it 5 clubs in 5 years, more than doubling his transfer fee every time. He failed to make the England squad for the European Championships, but had a good season with Inter, as he played 33 league games. In that time he scored 10 goals, provided 1 assists, and had a decent average rating of 7.17. Disappointingly, his club finished 4 points off a Champions League spot, having taken 3 points from a possible 18 in the run-up. Yet again, it was an injury-free season for Haych Ess Jay.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Jacob - Jacob

It was a slow season for Jacob. Having made his move to Juventus last season, making only 6 league games, he was hoping to increase on that number this season. No such luck, though, as he failed to appear in a single league match, nor any kind of competitive match for Juventus. His only first team action came in another few games for Sweden. Those were made during the summer, in the 2016 European Championships. He scored his first goal for Sweden, securing a point against Spain, though three draws and three points wasn’t enough to qualify, with all the other three teams gaining 4 points each.
Weeks injured: 0 (6 total)

Jon Muller - muller

If he was among the best in Europe at 20, he didn’t get any worse at 21. He followed up his great debut season for Benfica with an even better one, as he scored 8 and provided 14 in 24 league games, with a brilliant average rating of 8.34. He also kept featuring for Kenya, though he wasn’t captain yet. His fantastic performances for Benfica caught the eye of many clubs around Europe, and in the end it was Ajax who won out, with a £24.5 million bid, and Jon Muller joined Nimicinho at the three time in a row Eresdivisie-winner. Perhaps Muller would finally win his first major trophy, to match his abilities.
Weeks injured: 0 (0 total)

Karan Mittal - Karan Mittal

Karan Mittal started the season still at Nancy, but after half a season of good performances he opted to move to the other side of Europe, as Russian CSKA Moscow came in with an £11.25 million bid, which was readily accepted by both club and player. There he continued to play well, scoring 4 and providing 2 in 12 league games so far in the Russian 2016 season. He was now earning a healthy £30,500 per week in wages, a decent income for a 21-year old.
Weeks injured: 1 (11 total)

Klaus von Überreich - UBERScholes

Klaus von Überreich was now a mainstay in both the Manchester United and Argentina first teams. He had now played a full 19 games for his country, scoring 8 goals from midfield. He also had a great season with his club, scoring 12 and providing 9 assists in 32 league games, with an excellent average rating of 7.70. His club didn’t win anything, finishing 3rd in the league. Überreich’s talent was acknowledged, though, as he became the Young Player of the Month several times, finished 3rd in the 2015/16 English Footballer of the Year award, and joined Macheda and Rooney in the Team of the Year. His goals secured 11 points for his team this season.
Weeks injured: 6 (10 total)

2015-2016 (3)

Markus "Stobzilla" Elstob - Stobzilla

The season started well for Markus Elstob, as he was chosen for the Italian squad for the 2015 European U21 Championships. He scored twice, in a group game and in the final against Norway, where he got injured and saw his side win the Cup from the sidelines. He then won the Italian Super Cup with his club, Genoa. The season also continued well, as he played in 15 league games for the club, scoring 11 goals and having a good average rating of 7.37. He was no beginning to like life at Genoa, and had developed a good relationship with striker Acquafresca.
Weeks injured: 10 (39 total)

Neil Duck - cold-zebra

Neil Duck had had a brilliant last season with Porto, and it came as no surprise to anyone when he was finally coveted by the very top clubs, as Juventus came in with a big £22 million bid. There he continued his excellent level of play, having an average rating of 7.62 in 30 league games with the club. There were no trophies yet for Neil Duck, though Juventus finished 2nd in the Serie A, meaning he would get to play in Champions League next season. He continued to feature for the Irish national side, though he was yet to steal the captains armband from Robbie Keane. He featured in the Serie A Team of the Year.
Weeks injured: 0 (21 total)

Nigel Tufnel - GDH

Nigel Tufnel had seen massive improvements in his performances last season, and the improvements continued into this season. In 28 league games he scored a wonderful 18 goals, with a good average rating of 7.18. There were no trophies for Tufnel or Fiorentina this season, and the club finished a disappointing 8th in the league. They also went out of the Europa League to Ajax on 4-6 on aggregate, where he scored three of the goals. His form in the league was good, but his form in Europe was positively electric, as he scored an amazing 10 goals in 8 Europa League games. Tufnel finished Runner Up in Serie A Top Goalscorer.
Weeks injured: 5 (5 total)

Nimicinho - niMic

It was a fairly good season for Nimicinho. Again he only got to play a few league games, scoring 10 goals in 9 games, with an average rating of 8.03. This season it was partly because of injuries though, as he spent 3 months on the sidelines with a slipped disk, right after spending one month out with strained ankle ligaments. Despite his 10 league goals, he played too few games to qualify for the Eredivisie winners medal. He played enough games to win the Dutch Young Player of the Year award again, though. His record with Ajax was now 23 goals in 22 appearances, so he was eager to see what an entire season of actual playing would do.
Weeks injured: 16 (19 total)

Paz - Paz

After 6 full seasons at Boldmere, Paz finally decided he was ready for bigger and better things. He joined Championship side West-Ham for free. He played decidedly fewer league games than ever before, but against quite better opponents. In 13 league games he scored twice and assisted four times, having a decent average rating of 6.89. He also helped his team finish 3rd, though they lost out in the playoffs. He still wasn’t anywhere near an international call-up, but at least he was now making progress again. Now he just needed his technical attributes to catch p to his physical ones.
Weeks injured: 4 (6 total)

Sebastien Cassel - Erics collar

Another player with somewhat underdeveloped technical attributes, Sebastien Cassel made the move up from Ligue 2 to Ligue 1 during the summer, joining ESTAC for £1 million. Despite going up a level, his average play was a lot better than last season, or any other season so far. In 25 league games the central midfielder scored 8 times, providing 10 assists, with a great average rating of 7.52. Not a bad season for a top-level debutant. And that was recognized by others as well, as he was chosen the ESTAC Supporters Player of the Year, as well as finishing 2nd in the Ligue 1 Star of the Competition award.
Weeks injured: 8 (17 total)

Smashed Hombre - SmashedHombre

Smashed Hombre was a late bloomer, though he hadn’t actually started blooming yet. He was getting plenty of first team football with Preston, but he wasn’t progressing as fast as he would have hoped. This season he played 31 league games, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists, though he was now playing in League 1, owing to his clubs close relegation last season. At the end of the season Premier League side Stoke City were monitoring the situation, so perhaps he wouldn’t stay down there for very long.
Weeks injured: 4 (27 total)

Tor Lawless - FlawlessThaw

It was a good season for Tor Lawless. He upped his game at Burnley further still, scoring 5 times and providing 9 assists in the 35 league games he played in, with a good average rating of 7.27. His club won nothing, but finished in an impressive 8th position. He also had a hand in the title race, playing well as his club defeated Liverpool away on the second to last game of the season, taking the title out of their hands. And giving it to Manchester City. Then he was chosen the Burnley Supporters Player of the Year, and finished 2nd in the English Players’ Young Player of the Year award. Finally, he got to play for England in the 2016 EC, playing all three games as they were dumped out of the group stages.
