The First Redcafe Sheep Draft

MJJ and Chester both trying to find another fullback from the French league. Not sure if its the same club but if so, could get interesting
Aye I looked into this last night. Spotted a couple of right-backs who weren't quite sheep, but clear weak links at this level.

Re: The rules and Sniper's case. Just one thing to note: Picking a player who doesn't meet the criteria is a simple "fail" according to the rules (that has been stated clearly). However, submitting a player who has already been picked/blocked is another matter. The rules don't state anything specific about this - and I suppose this may be what the moderators have given Sniper's a heads-up about.

Can't wildly disagree with that - but then again it does depend on how you set up.

Banned stage is gonna be awesome... let's get it started.
Yep.. so many options and ways to go...

@AldoPaine18 a question regarding the banned round:
Do we know who everybody else picked?
For example:
Stage 1:
Aldopaine18 - picked Nesta(FAIL) Blocked Maldini
VivaJanuzaj - picked Lizarazu(PASS) Blocked Nesta
Antohan - picked Maldini(FAIL) Blocked Casillas
Balu - picked Roberto Carlos(PASS) Blocked Maicon

So a PASS in a player pick - will I know who the pass picked or is it like the previous rounds I will just know that Balu passed?

Why the feck would I block Casillas? He is not even on the list! Do I come across as some sort of moron? Mind, Balu is even worse

@AldoPaine18

After every stage, I guess you will be revealing the players that pass.. but would you also be revealing the players that were blocked or picked by multiple people?

Yeah in this you will know the players who are picked.

Why on earth would he do that?

Same for the blocked ones. I reckon it's best if we are all blind as a bat here. Even knowing who anyone placed a block on is telling.

:(

What's wrong with picking Carlos and blocking Maicon? Everyone wants fullbacks these days.

Sorry, but that does not make sense. Criteria only applies to eligible players. Ineligible players should not be picked, simple as. Picking one and getting a mod reprieve is a benefit, imo. We can debate one off reprieve as in crappy or sniper, but as a rule it does not stand.

No, just the passed players will be revealed and we start over in Stage with those who are left. (and the ones who passed but can now only block).

Really? So we completely remove the "already picked" element?

That makes it rather interesting...

It's a debatable point, certainly. But the rules don't say anything about such cases - so one can't say that it's a violation of the rules if a mod gives someone a heads-up regarding this.

Also, looking at this from a quasi-legal point of view...the premise for this round is that both picks are eligible: You pick A (fail, because someone else has picked him) and B (pass, nobody else picked him). You're then required to pick C (a player who meets the general criteria and whose stint at club X did not coincide with player B's). All fair and well. But if player A wasn't eligible to begin with (because he had been picked in a previous round) the very premise crumbles, doesn't it?

So, if you're running this thing, what do you do: Tell the manager that he can't pick A (because he has been picked already, in a previous round) or just register his pick as a "fail"? The latter would seem to indicate that the player was eligible, no? But he clearly wasn't. And this fact, his ineligibility, has consequences beyond the manager not getting his pick. It influences the further proceedings directly - and that is highly dubious, one might argue.

This is why drafts let themselves down....
