The F1 Thread 2014 Season

Another perfect lap from Lewis. Hope he finally wins here, and he should barring a disaster.

GET IN HAMILTON!

This year is going to be ridiculously one-sided, even more so than the Red Bull era. Fortunately I like Hamilton and Rosberg more than Vettel and Webber so it makes it easier.

Lewis is an absolute machine this year. Difficult not to love when he's like this.

No way can I see Rosberg beating Hamilton over a season.

Hopefully one of the other teams will pull their finger out.

Dull season so far, I'm getting flashbacks to the one sided starts in 2009 and 2011. At least other seasons during Vettel's dominance started with a few different race winners and made it interesting.

Mercedes look light years ahead of everyone else at the moment.

That win in Malaysia was crucial IMO. Rosberg was faster but Hamilton won on sheer will. I think Rosberg will struggle to recover from that. Lewis is on a different level to him when he's on form.

It was Bahrain, but yes I agree.

Christ this season has been boring. They bring in new rules to spice things up and all it does is make it worse. Holy shit it's dull. It's actually worse than the Red Bull years apart from the backend of the last season.

Lewis is my favorite driver and one of the main reasons I started following F1 so I'm enjoying this dominant start. During the Vettel era, I often wondered why can't Lewis get a car where he can truly showcase his talent and dominate the field? Well Ross Brawn built him one as a going away present and it's well deserved.

At least with Vettle starting so far back, we should get some decent overtaking happening as he comes back through the field.

If Rosberg wasn't as good a driver as he was, this season would have been even more dominant than any of Vettel's I feel. Hamilton has been so far ahead of the pack, I won't be surprised if they have one race where he laps 3 quarters of the field; something he actually nearly did in Malaysia and China

He was also why I started watching again, I watched his second race win and that was the first F1 race I had watched since the day Senna died.

This is shite.

Perfect example of what wrong with the sport with the radio message to drop back and look after the tyres.

Think I'm done with F1 til they sort the tyres out.

The dynamic between Lewis and Nico needs to be watched closely. You could sense some tension between the two already. It might be best to part with Nico at the end of the season if there's an incident between these two which I hope there isn't.

Lewis does have a bit of Senna in him in terms of aggression which I've always admired about his driving style. You're lucky to have witnessed Senna race. I was only a year old when he died.

Rosberg has a decent chance of winning here, Lewis never recovered from that setup error in FP3.

It is boring but Spain has always been pretty boring. It's the Noah's Ark track, all the cars go two-by-two.

Is it just me or is it painful to watch Merc run away with this?

As a Hamilton fan, no. As an F1 fan yes.

There will always be a fastest car, but the Merc is so far ahead its ruined the rest of it. Barring mistakes it will be 1-2's all season and the title probably will come down to reliability which is shit.
