The F1 Thread 2010 Season

Schumi investigated and right so, disgusting manovure to pull off.

I'm not going to defend him, but I don't really care.

You don't care that he STILL endangers the lives of other drivers?

I grudgingly admire and respect Schumacher because he's a brilliant driver, but feck me he's a disgrace at the same time. He's done that kind of thing consistently through his career, and some have the temerity to claim otherwise

The same move that Webber put on Massa in 08 or Hamilton on Glock at Monza in 08. They were all stupid moves and I won't defend him for it.

In the end, all of these drivers do it for the one reason. They close the door and leave it up for the proceeding car to make the decision. Do they want to grow a set and go for it, or pussy out and effectively give the upper hand to the leading car. I say Kudos for Rubens to grow a set and put one up him after all the torment of the previous 10 years.

And Brad, if you want to see a bunch of cnutish moves watch Nascar and IRL. What Michael has supposedly done in his career are almost the norm over there. Last week Carl Edwards spun a driver going 280kmh simply because he didn't like him. That car then got t boned by another car doing 200+ kmh.

And yes Michael is a cnut, but he's my cnut. I'd rather him be like he is, then piss around willing to take it up the shitter constantly. He comes from an era where it was put it all on the table. The difference between then and now is that none of the current crop bar probably Hamilton have the balls to race as hard or take it as far. You look at the current crop of drivers and only really Hamilton has the potential to make it as a great. He has what Michael, Senna, Prost, Lauda, Stewart, Fangio, Brabham, Clark etc all had.

Oh, well that makes it all right then

There's no fecking 'supposedly' about it Marchi

Schumacher didn't close the door and leave it up to his rival to decide, he was putting Barrichello into the concrete there. It was an outrageous move, and that you've even semi defended it, or tried to pass the buck with this piss weak "others do it" (funny, I don't recall seeing anyone do anything like that recently) speak volumes

That blonde was a beauty

Well done Webber

Lol at Vettal

Schumacher needs a better car, they will have to work hard over the next week weeks

That because you're as biased and blind as they come. You've never noticed Hamilton constantly chopping across competitors? You didn't see Kubica's pit entry at Canada. I'm not hiding from the fact i'm biased but open your fecking eyes. The only difference is that Michael has a supposed "history" of doing these things. Michael pushed him over, and then gave him room when he saw the grass. Michael gave him enough room and Rubens took the gamble. Its real racing. It was a cnutish move, but thats real racing. Not this follow the leader shit.

Expect nothing better from Schumi.

Oh ahd Hamilton

Would be brilliant if webber were to win this title. And alonso closing in as well now.

20 points seperate the top 5

God knows, caught sleeping maybe. His reaction to it is pretty clear he doesn't know what he's done wrong.

He was sleeping for an alarming amount of time then, Webber was away from him from a couple of corners out. You'd think if no team instruction had come, he'd had been right on top of Webber trying to reclaim the lead? I guess he knew he had to pit again so that wasn't as imperative... still, very odd, and you have to say, not a great sign of someone pushing for the championship. Yet another pole position tossed away this season

He's just said he was sleeping and had no radio and expected Webber to back up before driving away. Pretty poor form.

Disgrace as always

Have never been a big Schumacher fan but incidents like this have happened numerous times. Schumacher has been disgraceful in the past but he just moved across the track once to defend his line.

Hamilton has weaved across the track back and forth twice this season alone, clearly breaching the rules and has gotten off with a warning.

Schumi says he gave Rubens enough room and people are making too much out of it.

Was extremely dangerous what he did. He knew what he's doing there.

1. Schumacher wasn't in front of him, he was alongside.

2. There was a concrete wall there which Barrichello was inches away from hitting.

Watch Alonso take this

Its between Webber and Vettel. Lewis with a good chance as well.

Alonso has an outside chance but I don't see all the 3 fecking up for him to win. The only chance he has to win is with a few Ferrari 1-2's. Even if Ferrari come up with upgrades to match Red Bull's pace, Massa is not good enough to beat Webber, Vettel without them fecking up.

IK is our resident conspiracy theory mentalist, there's little point trying to reason with him!

The sane amongst us know it was well out of order, and very dangerous. And of course no surprise to see Schumacher fob it off in interview. Barrichello can be a bit of a whiner, we saw that at Brawn, but he's also a likeable chap and he's blatantly the one in the right here. Schumacher can shut the door before Barrichello gets too close, but once he's alongside, he needs a cars width (more when a concrete wall is involved) and he absolutely should have stopped pushing him into it. It's lucky the concrete wall ended where it did, we were talking fractions to contact there

1. Schumacher was in front when he moved over. Rubens got ahead only after the wall and by going on the grass.

2. Maybe they should stop racing in Monaco then ? They are always inches away from hitting the barrier. Its fecking F1, the drivers are a second's lapse in concentration away from hitting the barriers. This has happened a few times this season and numerous times in the past. Yet again, its a controversy because its Schumacher.

He gave as much room as Webber did to Vettel at Turkey. The difference is that there was a brick wall there. From a technical standpoint, Michael didn't do anything wrong, but it was still a cnutish move.

Spot on.
