Would be a drive though, they're looking at it during the race, we should hear the result in the not too distant
Mclaren say he was just following the delta time, on their official site the radio clearly says remember to match the delta lap. Can't see how he can be penalised if he matched it or is near it, Rosberg got away with a similar thing last season at Suzuka.
You'd expect them to be able to find some footage of it, Alonso will have an on board camera.

I'm not sure Kovy has any reason to be blamed there. It seems like Webber got greedy and followed him across the track. Massive difference in speed right near the point of impact.
He did just hesitate as the safety car was coming out slower alongside, if he'd just drove at a constant pace he'd have been ahead of the safety car line and all would be fine

With so many teams updating there cars and Mclaren doing nothing till Sliverstone this will be a great result for Mclaren if they can get both cars in the top 4.

Actually, it does. You see there's this thing they compete for. Its called the World drivers championship. When a driver gets that much of an advantage while the driver right behind him cops a massive penalty and gets put well down the field, then its does have an impact on him as that driver that cheated, will gain a massive point advantage.
