Speeding behind the SC ?

I thought the only rules were that they shouldn't overtake the SC or any other driver while behind the SC - it pretty much makes it impossible to speed behind the SC.

Yea speeding was the wrong word really, my fault, they were driving too fast to get in the pits, it was mentioned at the time as the on board on Schumy showed him doing it.

Edit: they have info on their steering wheels telling them what times they should be doing.

Where is Kobayshi's pit box? He could pit on the final lap and then cross the line in the pits, it would save a few seconds.

Oh he pits now.

It wasn't yellows it was a SC, and they have delta screens showing them the times being driven by the leader and they have to drive at that speed, it's new this year I think.

I just noticed all my fantasy drivers are in the points but 2 are under investigation.

Kobayashi has been great today, finally showing the form that we saw in Brazil last season! He'd be great at a bigger team.

Button, Sutil, Schumacher, Rosberg, so I make that 3-1 to Germany on penalties

Kobayshi! Brilliant.

Vettel takes it, good result for Hamilton. Silverstone will be interesting as McLaren will have new updates on the car.

Excellent from Kobayashi on the last corner!

Great drive from Vettel, shame we were robbed of a proper battle but I think he had it covered. Depends on the penalties for the rest really but driver of the day is Kobayshi!

It makes me feel absolutely disgusting to say it, but I agree completely with Eddie Jordan. Kovaleinen is not obliged to move out of Webber's way - if the Aussie is quite so unsure as to where Heiki will be, then he has to back off. It's not the responsibility of the car ahead to move out of the way; it's the car behind's job to not cause an accident.

Yep, lesson to Nick here who can't stand Eddie, and I can see why, but he does often call it like it is. Coulthard was well off with what he said during the race, but I guess he's close to Webber so you can understand

At least everyone's ok and we can talk about it like this

Yea I'll hold my hands up, EJ was bang on the money on that one. Still wish I didn't have to listen to him every few weeks though!

Five second penalties for those speeding then, means Alonso only moves up one spot.

Updated fantasy standings, not too much movement today really

The tyres are still too good, Kobayashi shouldn't be able to go this long on one set of tyres. That's the difference between no fuel stops now, and the last time we had that situation

I thought exactly the same myself

Just look how good Canada was with 'rubbish' tyres

Shame Hamilton didnt crash out....I can't stand him. I've realized I need to stop hating, everyone or thing I hate ends up doing well...hehe.

It's like God is out to spite me.

This really has been a great season...Top 4 very close together, and still anyones title to win.

Yeah I hate him too. He does anything to win and that anything is not usually good.

Even Alonso should have cheated and gained positions behind the safety car. He would have probably retained his 3rd position despite a drive through penalty

I've yet to see Hamilton do "anything" to the extent of Schumacher, or even Alonso. Some people just don't like him because he's successful and British.

I think it's more because he's not that talented a driver but sitting in one of the best cars and doing well.

Always preferred Kimi and ALonso to him.

Alonso is the most talented driver right now easily. Winning back to back titles with the Renault and that too against Schumi was phenomenol

I can understand Alonso's anger completely in this situation.

He and Hamilton were seperated by a meter and then Hamilton overtakes the SC and gets considerably ahead and why on earth did the stewards take almost 20 laps to punish hamilton for something that was obviously worth punishing far earlier? How much time does it take to investigate something so simple and obvious
