Nope he got done at the pitstop, hes been slower than Webber all race.
Totally forgot about this just turned it on, did Vettel lose his place at the start?
You reap what you sow and Hamilton bore fortune to that today. He needs to learn when to give up rather then push on and destroy the tyres. Driver of the day my arse, that was just stupid. He 'along with McLaren' know that he's hard on the tyres, so why risk the points gain by gaining a few seconds on a driver he was never going to pass.
Being a champion driver is all about being smart. What Hamilton did today was not smart.

Driver of the day was no doubt Webber. Pole and the win, while consistently out pacing everybody. Faultless drive.
How do you even know it was a case of being too hard on the tyres? He could have hit debris or it could have been a component failure. Valid point though he did not really need to push but thats part of his driving.
Driver of the day though in my opinion, regardless of what you say.
Hamilton deserves it. It's karma for all the weaving on the track that went unpunished in the earlier race and also forced Vettel off when he exited the pits this race.
At the start of the race the commentator mentioned that this track wears down the front left tyre a lot.
If you had to put your money on one driver at the front of the grid who would wear down his tyre to the rim, who would it have been on ?

And he needs to learn to driver better. How many times does Hamilton need to "drive over debris" before you see that as good as he is, his style destroys the tyres. And when I say destroy, that doesn't mean just losing grip, it can mean over heating the tyres.
It doesn't matter what I say, those with a pair of eyes can see that Webber was the driver of the day. He's not the one with Zero points.
I'm glad despite Ronaldo leaving, Marchi still has someone to act the tool over on here
Utter crap.
Hamilton is hard on his rear tyres because of his aggressive oversteer driving style, that has no affect on his front left tyre.
It's either degradation or debris which has caused the blow out.
Bollocks....at the start of the race it was predicted that all drivers will have problems with their front left as the track is hardest on that tyre.
Hamilton wears down all his tyres compared to Button but is generally worser on the rear tyre but that driving style combined with this track characteristics, ripped apart the front left.
Whitmarsh reckons it was likely debris in the rim.

No it doesnt matter what you say because you just don't like Hamilton. Webber was great correct but with a car thats in F1 terms miles better than everything else, he cruised it. Hamilton might have overdriven it but has a minute ahead of his team mate, overdriving the car and putting in 2nd when he should have been miles back in 3rd.
The Red Bull has a bigger advantage over the rest even compared with the Brawn at its best last season.
Prove it.
How about you prove it was debris. There's far more evidence towards his driving style that Bridgestone themselves have alluded to that suggests otherwise. And why is it that nobody else had that problem????
Muppets on the pitwall with 8 Constructers titles and 12 drivers titles, I think they know what they are doing.
R-Nick, Hamilton slides the car around. That effects all tyres not just the rears. When you punish the tyres when they are that age, then shit like what happened is going to happen. Especially when that front left is punished like it is at this circuit. He had the same problem at turkey in 08
If Hamilton was 7 tenths slower how did he end up only 11 seconds behind Webber come the puncture? You only have to compare Hamilton's times to Button's when they were both in clean air, consistently 5 tenths a lap faster.
From the replay and what McLaren have said it looks like a rim failure, not degradation. Ofcourse they might just be saying that.
Prove it.
Are you that blinded by your patriotism that you can't comprehend 'which every commentator in f1 stated before the race' that this track is hard on the front left. The hardest driver on tyres in f1 on tyres that are 40+ laps old, setting fastest laps isn't going to end well. If he had half a brain, 'along with the muppets on the McLaren pit wall' they'd have told him to cool off and take the points. Instead he's in the gravel and those twits are left to look like monkeys again.
McLaren desperately need Dennis back again.
Do you really think a driver, leading the race by a massive margin is going to push on and risk losing the car??? Schumacher was the master of it when Ferrari were at the best. Most races he could have lapped the entire field if he really wanted, but why risk it??
Yes its obvious Webber wasn't flatout towards the end but he was never more than 16 seconds away, he had a 10 seconds lead after the first pit stop and gradually pulled away. If you compare Hamilton's pace with Vettel up to Vettel's issue he never got within touching distance of Hamilton and was not in the dirty air either.
