The F1 Thread 2009 Season

Trulli got very close to Buttons pretty astonishing time, I reckon he must be quite a bit lighter

Great job by Jenson. Making those who wrote him off before look a little foolish. He's got the right car right now, and he's showing he can drive it. If things do 'return to normal', might be some food for thought for Ferrari or McClaren?

His car is far superior thats why. In 2004 he was average/poor with the second best car in the field. Given his past I'm skeptical, we'll see how he does if other teams get on par with brawn. I honestly think he's one of the most overrated drivers in F1.

Hehehe, Massa starts from 16th tomorrow, failed to make it out of the 1st qualifying session

Result of an overconfident Ferrari telling him that he didn't need to go out again for another better time... Kimi as well, it seems just about made it - he had been marginally better...

Can't take anything for granted this season. I think the most impressive car so far is the Red Bull Renault - they're without either the controversial spoilers or the KERS and yet they've been on the podium of qualifying twice already (discounting the fact that Vettel has had a very harsh 10-place penalty)...

I'd personally not discount the chances of this Vettel boy - he's truly the most impressive driver for me.

Well that didn't take long did it

Barrichello has the best car too you know. His career CV isn't too shoddy

Interesting you mention 2004, when he did indeed finish 3rd in the World Championship. Second best car? Maybe. But his team mate finish 8th and a whopping 51 points behind Button

You're chatting nonsense. He's a top driver, and in a good car he's now showing precisely why

Anyway, todays race, supposedly it's going to start raining as they set off. Should be fun

I've never bashed Button before:confused:

WOOOOW did you see the kers in action then? Barrichello was steaming past Alonso on the straight, then boom Alonso suddenly gets acceleration from nowhere and holds the position. Incredible

Awful start by button, but settling now. Put a cheeky 5er on Lewis to win at 30/1...

Button looks really good at the moment - let's see how he pits.

Are Ferrari having a laugh? It's still dry for god's sake

why has raikenen gone onto heavy wets lol, it hasnt even started to rain properly yet

Ferrari have ruined Kimi's race ffs, complete lunacy to go on wets when it's dry, Kimi's pissed off over the radio

 the decisions over tyres is great. Glock's now going back to wets. This is brilliant

Fecks sake, crazy rain! Come on Jense got my money on you.

how gay, red flag

so does that mean they will wait for it to stop? or will that be it

Hehe, that was fun, had to be stopped though that was getting farcical

Dunno what the drill is now. I remember a race Hill won in Japan I think, they started the race again, and the aggregate times a driver had counted as the winner
