It's an unusual situation so there were no template to go by - but this post indicates their willingness to make an official bid if needed. It's unfair that you didn't get the alert on Puyol but it will be also unfair to just give you the player, that's why we're waiting for EAP. And Theon is obviously picking on Invictus' behalf as the latter can't be here 24/7 (or I'll take my Dzajic now, please and thank you)

Assistants aren't that rare mate - think there are a couple in this draft and its never been a problem.

Ultimately Puyol has been raised intentionally and if its a problem that you weren't tagged then we will just raise by 5m. Here is the PM from Invictus as well by the way (I have removed unpicked player names):

Andrade raised to 22 by mazhar. Raised Puyol to 12 before the 8 hour expired. Maybe we should go XXXX instead of XXXXX as the XXXX backup?

I didn't realize that you were his AM, I thought both your names would be on here the way skizzo/pat is.

Still, there is at no point an actual recorded bid on Puyol from either you or invictus.

It's an interesting question. Technically, it's not a valid bid - and that is that, formally speaking. It doesn't count and the original bid stands - that has to be the basic rule.

Personally, I'd wait for mazhar - but only until the original deadline expires. After that, you can claim the player as far as I'm concerned. The rules are very clear on upbids - if you feck up, that's on you. The other guy can decide to take mercy on you - but he's in no way obliged to do so.

He could've deemed it superfluous after I posted mine (which also had some confirmed players removed, plus new nominations, etc.).

I had no idea theon was invictus AM. There's no mention of it anywhere ( that I've noticed )

Obviously you didn't add it for the sake of it and it is more of a technicality , but that being said any upbid on Puyol ruled me out of the running as I have 13m left to spend so i don't think it's fair that they would have to up to 15.
