Found it a bit surprising that I got Xavi for 10m tbh. He does seem a bit underrated in matchday threads though.

Xavi is another system player.. one who you have to ensure all the pieces fit in your team. I just didn't think he'd bring out the best out of Neeskens.. but him and Zico would work imo.

Sure other people have their reasons but as long as you make a convincing argument as to why he works in your side, he'll get credit.. he was instrumental for Cal I recall.

He's won a couple of drafts - for Cal and Theon - where the quality of his teammates has been impeccable. In lesser teams he can be a hard sell.

Yep but also important to ensure his team mates are on same wavelength. I'm sure Enigma will do well with him.. has a cracking side already.

Thought about picking him (obvious link to Messi and would've been great in Suarez place) but didn't have spare funds. Plus it would've mean benching him or Suarez if I were to progress and I didn't want to pick a player for one round

Yeah, surely you have to fit him right, but IMO he ticks a lot of boxes in an all time draft especially controlling the game from deep and bringing a lot of hard work on the table.

Having Pele in the side would make it hard to fit other playmakers like Schuster or pretty much everyone else that will play in a system with a false 9 for example is also challenging. Him occupying the middle area and link defence with attack from deep is really hard to find(at this quality level). Ideally I was looking for Didi heir in a system I'd like to try out, but also one that is very hard working and can dominate a game from deep(albeit not possessing much of an attacking threat).

But then again picking Zico for low amount is also an excellent deal.

Him, Sammer, Kalle, Cruyff and Di Stefano are the winners of this round for me in terms of price/value.

yeah I thought you might be in to him to link up with Messi. However I know how high you rate Suarez in the first place. :)

I like the fact you have Figueroa. Agreed that Pele would also gel well with him.. those two are players I could see complementing Xavi and technical midfielders like Tigana etc - you'll be fine.
 
IMHO, Skizzo/Pat will nominate a player at 5.55 pm.
