The Criteria Draft - The Drafts

According to Wikipedia Iniesta has 99 caps so that would of been great but he actually has 100 sadly.

Not to be an Anto about it but Beckham and Carlos did win a league together with Madrid...

Criterion is that they did not win the league together, for two seasons running - but that they both won the league elsewhere. So it's a valid one.

Beckham for United (and in the USA, I suppose) and Carlos in Brazil.

As long as they were in the same team for any 2 seasons in a row where they didn't win, it counts. I believe that's the case. Eg if they won a trophy in the 3rd season after 2 trophy lesstrophy less years they count.

So they just have to have two concurrent seasons of not winning a league title at the same club ? It doesn't matter that they actually ended up winning it during their time together ?

It's 2 trophy less seasons, not just leagues.

But yes the fact they won afterwards is irrelevant.

I can't believe people have allowed folks to combine Keane-Scholes and Xavi-Iniesta :wenger:

Let's see who else these boys end up with. Won't do 'em any good with a donkey up front and a sheep at right back...

At this stage it's hard to block combos like that, I think - people are focusing on their own teams, I reckon.

Good partnerships but there's some tricky criteria where good players will soon be gone so you could end up with some real weak links unless it's planned. The beauty if the draft.

But certainly it's a pretty solid building block to start with.

Aye. Keane is a fecking solid pick on all accounts but Scholes for example only qualifies for one category I believe, which is risky as it's probably one of the easiest. Then again even I couldn't have turned it down

We will see. Annah pretty much won his first couple of rounds in the first auction draft with the Barca MF and nothing much else.

Redondo is the pick of the draft so far for me, covers a real mindfeck of a criterion.

Aye, that was my thinking too and why IMO he was just ahead if Rivaldo - though your pick was still a steal. The real one for Redondo is the less than 30 caps criteria, which is pretty damn difficult.

How does the 10 year at one club work for youth players ? For example lets say someone wants to pick Barkley and he's been at Everton since he was 9 does that count or does it start from his debut ?

Ney. 10 senior squad years. I'll add that.
Van you also clarify rule 8-9? The rules dont state that the players had to plaw two consecutive seasons in a row together without winning. You can interpret it to them not even being at the same club at the same time. Just two seasons at same club and not have won a title together.

I'll update it. It has already been clarified though in the clarifications section.
Is it a countries one ?
Nope.

Well, feck me sideways and call me Moyesie. I've been working with no LEAGUES won for two seasons running...but these two bastards I have in mind went and won themselves another bloody trophy in one of the seasons. Feckers. Trophy hoarders.

As it stands:

3. Annahnomoss - Ronaldo 9
4. Cutch - Maldini
5. NoPace - Ronaldo 7
6. Stobzilla / KM - Zidane
7. FromTheBench/Theon - Romário
8. EDogen - Keane, Scholes
9. BigDunc9 - Xavi, Iniesta
10. rpitroda - Nedved, Seedorf

16. Edgar Allan pillow - Roberto Carlos, David Beckham

@rpitroda I assume only league wins in the system's top division count? So, a player winning promotion (finishing first in the country's second division) won't count as a league win?

I take it East Germany doesn't count as a country out of the top 30??
