The increased taxation of cigarettes in this country has had a tangible reduction in the number of smokers, especially in adolescents & young adults.
I thought it was the DARE program. It worked for me.
DARE did help to reduce youth tobacco use, just didn’t help reduction of any other drug apparently. I never knew this positive stat until 90 seconds ago.
I guess i was one of the few gullible ones it worked on then. I just said NO! All those graphic commercials and ads back in the day. Amazing considering every male in my family smoked and drank except me.

I disagree. All of us (Americans) are complicit. Every single person who is not out with me protesting/advocating is complicit. Of course, it took me loosing someone I loved to guns to get me from ideals to activism , so I guess we just need a whole lot more dead people.
