fecking hell, scary how ‘slow’ it looks when it’s falling but knowing that that’s because of how huge it is and thus how fast and heavy what’s falling actually is - if that makes sense.

If it wouldn't be for a lot of wealthy people using FL as a tax shelter for real estate it would be just be a backwoods state with a bunch of water around it. I know several highly educated people who fled the state and two who had intentions to move, but changed their mind. Sadly that brain drain is probably exactly what they're going for. Easier to indoctrinate.
My home state has always been backwoods, it's just paved over under neon lights from Ocala southward mainly on the coasts the further one goes south. It can be gussied up for marketing purposes, but one takes a few steps backwards when entering certain parts of the state. Its primal, uneducated on average populace has been tapped into well by the current government in place.
