He showed glimpses of what he can do in 3rd set. Nerves got the better of him from the beginning though so it was over relatively soon.

Didnt watch it today, whats the verdict on Rafa? Is he actually playing well?
I only saw the majority of the final set. KK played well that set, and I'd say Rafa looked okay. Didn't think it was a great watch, quite a few errors from both, but Nadal was solid enough. Certainly didn't see any cause for concern.
Muller has a more reliable serve, so he'll need to be on it on Monday, but I think Rafa is playing well enough to be him in 3 or 4 sets. The big challenge will be against Cilic, if they both get there.
He's been playing well the whole year. Hard to gauge his grass level now though because all of his opponents so far for one reason or another have been subpar

In some sense bottle, job, but I'd give a lot of credit to Murray here. That non challenge aside (probably would have lost the point anyway, but mentally big) I don't think Fognini has done an awful lot wrong.
