Damn, shame about Goffin. Was lookong forward to him playing Thiem in R4.

I quite like the tournament so far. Don't have a favourite yet, so just enjoying the tennis.

Is Nadal really THE favourite?
Schwartzman takes the 3rd set after being 0-40 when serving for it! Now leads 2 sets to 1. Playing some inspired stuff although Djokovic is obviously way below par, he just doesn't have the intensity for every point like he's had in the past. Then again if he can play anywhere near his best he should still be able to win this.

Djokovic looks so fragile and vulnerable nowadays. And he so often seems to look jaded.

Looks like Djokovic has got a bit of control now, few more errors from Schwartzman and Djokovic cutting down on his own errors. He'll most likely win this now, Schwartzman doesn't seem to have any sort of big weapon which would help win him some free points.
The length of time Djokovic is taking to serve is ridiculous.
One reason I don't enjoy watching him play. Sucks the life out of the match.

Who else? Bautista-Agut? Nadal is untouchable in Paris, especially considering the poor form of Djokovic and Murray and the weak rest of the field. Thiem could potentially be a problem, but not for 5 sets.

Yeah, putting my blind faith aside, I reckon you're right. I think Murray'll come roaring back for Wimbledon but can't see anyone but Nadal winning the French this time.
I think what hurts the french is that there's no such thing as clay court specialists with the younger players. They all seem to be decent on every court now.
But before you had the South Americans and Spaniards producing a lot of clay court specialists. Majority of them are in late twenties or early thirties.
Wawrinka and Fognini should be a good watch. Wawrinka and Thiem are the players you expect if they can get in the second week that could give Nadal problems.

Thiem might have a chance. Excellent in all three matches so far. I'll cheer for him from now on.

Unless you watch the women's regularly the acca will feck you. I don't watch it much but there are so many match ups that you won't know about. How in form players are etc. I try to avoid them on an acca cause it's a minefield I have little clue about.
Did make a punt for Halep to win it though.

Murray is playing awful at the moment, his form after getting World No 1 and the start of 2017 has been alarming, alongside with Djokovic but at least with Djokovic, his form has been on the wane since his French Open victory last year. What happened to Murray? He was in the form of his life in 2016 and its like he just became a completely different player this year.
If Murray doesn't break here that easy shot he missed when 15-40 up will haunt him.
Just switched over to the Edmund - Anderson match and there's finally been a break in the match. Edmund serving for the third set now.

Fantastic set of tennis. Delpo had set point at 5-3, Murray held and then failed to serve out the set at 5-4. In the tie break he then double faulted on set point. He looks distraught there. Murray should now go on to take this.
I know Del Potro was injured but Murray being no 1 seed and getting him as 29th seed in R3 is a bit unlucky!
To win a set from Delpo in the form he is in there, has to rank as one of Murray's greatest achievements.
