Murray to face Kyrgios in the first round of the US Open! Wouldn't normally shout my support for Murray from the roof tops, but I really hope he smashes the cocky pr1ck!!
Nadal has Coric in the first round. I can see Coric causing an upset. He's highly rated. Although these days beating Nadal isn't really an upset.
Is he playing the best tennis of his life?
He was taking the piss yesterday - returning Djokovic's second serve on the half-volley from the service line at one point! he used to toy similarly with the likes of Roddick and Hewitt at the past but to do it to Djokovic and Murray is something else. Really hope he can carry it on to the US Open.
He's only recently started returning serves from the service line as it was something he was doing for fun in practice.
Federer has always played well at the masters in the last few years. It's whether he can do that in a grand slam with 5 sets and of course 7 potential matches too. Besides Wimbledon, he's had quite a few upsets especially on the hard court grand slams to players that he'd usually beat.
You also have to factor in that Djokovic and Murray were tired and could have gone out before they met him at Cincinnati. It was just their opponents Goffin and Dimitrov were too mentally weak to finish the matches off. Federer isn't mentally weak, but he did have the advantage of the extra week off.
Impressive wins for Djokovic and Nadal. Heather Watson out, though the bigger shame is Sharapova withdrawing last week as that makes it a bit easier for Serena Willams (sigh)
Fognini next for Rafa
big challenge
Why do people like Murray? He comes across as very boring - like has has no personality.

This has Murray in 5 written all over it.
He's a bit boring personality wise, but I kinda like him for it. He's fairly modest and comes across as a local lad who's happened to make it big and hasn't particularly been changed by it all that much. He's not really got a superstar persona either. He just feels really normal, in a sense.
Plus, got to root for a fellow Scot, of course.
I'm Scottish too but I just cant get hyped up for him just because he doesn't come across as likeable. Federer, Djokovic, Nadal didn't let success get to them (i.e cocky and don't appreciate the fans) but they still come across as funny and likeable people. Could you imagine how different this video would be with Andy Murray replacing Nadal or Federer?
I was giving funny as an example of a trait a likeable person would have. Another trait would be the ability to smile. I'm sure he is a nice person though but because we don't get any glimpses of his life away from the media I have to judge my opinion on what I see.Murray's still capable of being fairly humorous as well, but he's often been a lot more media shy, even if that's improved in recent years. Someone doesn't necessarily need to be perceived as funny to be likable either.
