Yeah let's use River Plate who play in a different continent. A typical response from you that.
Okay. Benfica. Same continent.

Didn't he turn down Bayern? Didn't Klopp turn us down? It seems exactly how football works. People with good reputations don't want to put their dicks in Woodward's vice.
Okay fine, back your claim up with evidence.Okay. Benfica. Same continent.

The ability to be real? Ajax are a club with a bigger reputation than us in European football and have won more European Cups. It's people like you who have views which don't correlate to reality and quite naively compare a club like Rangers to Ajax.
Ten Haag won't come now. His Ajax project is going too well. Why does it have to be Rodgers now or ten Haag at end of season? If our board had a brain then they’d get a caretaker in now and then employ ten Haag next season so he gets a full pre season with the squad and hopefully the caretaker goes on a good run and gets us top 4. Ragnick is calling out to take over even for just the rest of the season.
Did I say we aren't a bigger club than either Ajax or Benfica?Would you not agree we are a bigger club than Ajax and Benfica?
What evidence would you like to see?
That's not the point, the point is ten Hag is at a club with a big reputation in Europe and he's coaching a club which he himself has said was a dream. He's not gonna abandon that club mid seasonOh give over.
They haven't won a European Cup in 26 years, what next? Notts Forest are a club with a bigger reputation than City and Chelsea in European football?

I don't know him but have listened to him and read the the views of journos close to Ajax. And that's how I form my view he wouldn't abandon ship mid season and destabilise their season for a club that has struggled both domestically and in Europe's premier competition for well over a decade. You don’t know him, I don’t know him.
With enough money thrown his way none of us can say he couldn’t be convinced to join mid December when the Dutch league Winter break kicks in. It’d give Ajax a full month to find his replacement and get him installed.
Yeah If you can show me where he turned down Bayern I’ll take a look.
Klopp turned us down because we currently had a manager at the helm. I’m sure the Disney land speech didn’t help. But I’m sure whatever Liverpool said at that time to him wouldn’t of changed either. It all changed when he was out of work though.
Okay, go ahead and argue Mourinho and Van Gaal weren't good managers before coming to United. This should be entertaining.Which one was that ?

I'm not guessing, I'm forming my opinion based on what ten Hag, Overmars and the Ajax journo Mike Verweij has reported. You’re guessing though.
You simply don’t know the bloke, or how he thinks.

Since when has it become necessary to know someone personally to know how they think? He's gone on record and said certain things including Bayern being a club close to his heart along with Ajax. You have an opinion on how someone you don’t know thinks? And it’s not guessing? Ok.
I have no idea, there’s nought so queer as folk.

He has answered that question directly and said he wouldn't abandon the project mid season when Bayern sacked Kovac.Since always. Unless he’s answered that direct question, you have no idea.

Yes he was asked two years ago about joining a club which he has said is close to his heart in Bayern and he turned them down. I doubt he'd have a problem turning down United mid-season.He was asked 2 years ago if he’d join Bayern mid-season you mean.
Lots can change in 2 years, but you know that already.
The truth is, you simply don’t know if he’d be open to joining United during the winter break if offered an incredible package. None of us do.
And we are fine with missing out on champions league ?Without a shadow of a doubt - Ten Hag. Rodgers is duct tape. He can patch things quickly, but they will eventually fall apart again. He just isn't good enough. Ten Hag has what it takes to be world class in 2-3 years. Rodgers has proven he isn't world class material. Imagine we take Rodgers now and he stays for two years. Meanwhile, Ten Hag goes to Barcelona or is lined up by City or who knows even Newcastle. Missing out on him for a quick fix now would be a massive mistake. And think about this, if Ajax drops out of UCL early on, Ten Hag might be more susceptible to come here earlier than summer.
You say that as if Rodgers coming is guaranteed to catapult us in top 4. The man has bottled it twice in a row now with Leicester. I'd rather gamble on Ole reaching top 4, miss and get a better manager in the summer, than appoint Rodgers, still miss, but be stuck with him for the foreseeable future. And we are fine with missing out on champions league ?
If you had to choose one.
Option A means very possibly a wasted season, 6 more months with Ole including fun trips to Anfield and Etihad. Possibility of no CL football next year.
Option B is also not a guarantee of CL football next year though most would agree it gives us a better chance. It would mean at least a year plus of Rodgers, very likely 2 years plus.
Is the upside of Ten Hag over Rodgers worth six months of Ole ?
Ten Haag would be the better option but it would mean writing off the season in early November which is fecking unforgivable.
You ring Ten Hag now and tell him it's now or never. This is the ideal time to take over. Free pass until the end of the season to implement his system(s)/methods, couple of signings in the Summer, goes into his first full season with the best possible chance
A caretaker would be the best option, but the way things are going, we will lose Ronaldo in January if we don’t get Ole sacked, and then a good chunk of our squad will want to leave in the summer. I would take Rodgers now over Ole staying.City signed Pep in January for next season so it has been done before. But if Ten Hag agreed a caretaker would still be needed. But it's all pie in the sky. They will appoint Rodgers because they don't give two shits.
