6 more months of Ole and the squad will be in a terrible state.

Stop prolonging the inevitable.

No, hate Low and his stupid sixties haircut.

I like him better than Becoming Liverpool documentary star Brentan Rodgers. Especially if its only until May or something.

Ten Haag but with a caretaker now. Add that option to the poll.

There is no option where we should keep Ole!

I'd also be okay with Rodgers now. Both him and Ten Haag have their risks.

He turned down Bayern Munich quite recently, why would he leap at the chance to manage us?
Did he? Wasn’t Nagelsmann their first choice or do you mean before Flick’s appointment?

Ten Hag end of season, hire a manager and just fire him in the summer

In fact, I'd like the club to sack a manager every 3 months from now until the summer so the fanbase can get adjusted to the feeling.

Repetition is the key to success

So then could keeping Ole till the summer be the best move if the board has Ten Hag guaranteed behind the scenes?
I think that would be the best IF they actually expressly make that clear to Ole and the players. Otherwise it’s just more panic station football with Ole chopping and changing players and formations to try and save his job.

As much as I’d love Ten Hag here there’s absolutely no way I could suffer Ole for the rest of the season. No chance.

This. No need to keep OGS to get Ten Hag in the summer. Any caretaker would basically do.

Ten Hag if it means we have a caretaker manager until May. If not then Rodgers because we are currently regressing.

Make an approach for Ten Hag now regardless it’s mid season if he wants the job he will come Gerrard wanted the job at Villa and he’s gone …. It’s that simple Ole is a legend but he’s taken Utd as far as he can back room staff as well Rodgers. Good manager but don’t think it would lie right with Utd fans ❤️

Ten Hag, every day of the week.

Rodgers record in European football is abysmal. No point getting another Manager that simply isn't cut out for top level football.
This. And it's not like we have to keep Ole, get Ralf as interim, but sack Ole.

Jeez this is a no brainer for Ten Haag. Imagine being lumbered with Rodgers, who's not exactly looking to be doing a great job this season at Leicester either.

Do people think that at the end of the season after Xavi has inevitably been sacked and maybe Poch too Ten Hag would go for us over Barca or PSG.

I want Ten Hag but I legit can’t stomach Ole anymore. At this point I’d take Ian Holloway or Phil Brown

Rodger’s. I mean if Ten Hag not coming now why he coming after Ole blows up our season.

If you had to choose one.

Option A means very possibly a wasted season, 6 more months with Ole including fun trips to Anfield and Etihad. Possibility of no CL football next year.

Option B is also not a guarantee of CL football next year though most would agree it gives us a better chance. It would mean at least a year plus of Rodgers, very likely 2 years plus.

Is the upside of Ten Hag over Rodgers worth six months of Ole ?
This is like one of the games in Saw. Get Ten Hag when all of the land is scorched beyond recognition, or Rodgers who ultimately won't amount to much and will probably see us crash out of Europe now.

I'd go Hag, I guess. He can bring in half the Ajax team to replace all the players who'll leave in the summer.

No way they do that. Just give Ole a heads up they're gonna fire him but have him stay on?

Ten Hag turned the Bayern job down due to not wanting to abandon ship mid season, so Bayern hired Flick. Ten Hag has also turned the Spurs and Barca jobs down according to Fabrizio Romano.

Ten Hag at the end of the season; Ronaldo as interim-manager/player :)

I just don’t think the fan base will tolerate having to look at Ole’s face for another 6 months. The toxicity that sets in would be far more corrosive than not replacing him now, even if it means Brendan.

Fortunately, we could instead use a caretaker to take us through end of season, if for no other reason than to get Ole out of the picture.

You could be on to something. Give managers 10 game contracts requiring a 70% win rate to trigger the next 10 game extension or failing that, an automatic sack.

Sure he did. Maybe he just felt he wasn’t ready. No1 is turning down Bayern to stay at Ajax. Stop believing stupid nostalgia. Gerrard just left Rangers for Villa. You think Ten Hag would be that stupid.

Same with the United job. If he doesn’t want it now feck him. I don’t want him end of the season.

  I’m with this.

Why should the two options be mutually exclusive?

I'd rather have both options be true - Rodgers now (interim :P ) to steady the sinking ship and Erik ten Hag at the end of the season to guide the ship into the future.

I think if were gonna hire Rodgers then he'd probably be here already, if it's indeed correct about him having a release clause. Also Simon Stone's recent piece about the United fans being receptive towards Rodgers due to his Liverpool past along with Leicester's recent poor form not going unnoticed at United is another bit of info which places doubt over us hiring Rodgers.

There's no guarantee with any appointment but the arrival of ten Hag would at the very least lift spirits amongst the fans, and we should wait until the end of the season if required to do so imo.

I would like Ten Haag more than rodgers but I would still want to get Rodgers in now. I just cant keep watching Ole till may. I dont know what other think about this

Yeah I can''t bear another game of Ole in charge further alienating the likes of Donny & Jadon, yes I wish we could get an interim/caretaker now then get Ten Hag at end of the season but sadly it doesn't look like the board are considering that option. Therefore I have gone with Rodgers now but only because the middle option seemingly isn't available despite how well it has worked at other clubs mid season.

So then could keeping Ole till the summer be the best move if the board has Ten Hag guaranteed behind the scenes?
No feck that. Sack him so he'll stop wasting our players development for the rest of the season.

If we wait till the end of the season to sack Ole, that's VDB and Cavani gone. Pogba, Lindgard and Dalot probably gone too.

And seriously, would ten Haag say no to us because we want him to start now instead of the end of the season?

Finally someone suggested that idea as it's how a you know "proper football club" would act rather than just admit defeat

That is a very good point indeed and to all those saying you are prepared to wait for Ten Hag at end of the season, just how many are willing to put up with Ole further losing the players for the next 6 months to make it happen. Why don't this bloody board just do what they did in December 2018 and appoint an interim (just not an ex player this time)
