Real curious about the fee now. If it is 8m we have for once done a good job selling.

8 million for these guys my goodness me.... they would better off spending the money on hookers for the fans after seeing them play a couple of times as that would at least give them happiness for the money even if its temporary.

Although they did the Poznan against us and are generally dull to watch for the majority of the season,I've never really wanted them to go down .

They usually beat City at home and had O'shea and Brown there, two great United servants.

True. Didn't they beat City that season too? I think so.

McNair was never going to make it at United, hope we get a decent fee.

Next i hope we sell Blackett, Bastian and Rojo.
Fixed. Adnan has talent and it will be a massive mistake to let him go.

Only Daily Mail reporting a fee and they have it at £5.5m for the pair. I'm guessing McNair makes up £5.49m of that fee. Love was complete trash when he played for the first team. McNair could develop into a good defensive mid or even a decent defender. He had a fair few good games for us under LVG, the one against Chelsea sticks out.

£8m would represent great business, McNair could make a decent PL player but there's still a lot of work to do with him and he's only got a year left on his deal whilst Love is virtually worthless and seems a pointless buy unless he's literally being chucked in for next to nothing.

A very underwhelming pair of signings though as mentioned for Sunderland particularly when McNair is likely the Kone replacement.

Papy Djiloboji will be Kone's replacement. Not sure what position Moyes sees for McNair

The Readytogo is a funny place really. The thing I find really interesting is they like to wallow in their sorrows bashing their club and players all day long but when a fan from another club says something against them, they attack that poster en masse!

Agree, Readytogo is a brilliant forum, the fans of Sunderland on that site are enough to make me like their club a lot (despite the Poznan wind up - but some fans on there even slated their own for doing the Poznan because they knew Rooney would be ridiculously fired up for the next time we played them, and indeed he was).

It was unbelievably funny when Steve Bruce was there, mainly because he was a Geordie but also because he was a dour fecker. Think of what it would have been like for David Moyes on here if he was a scouser and you get some idea :nervous:

McNair will do OK at Sunderland, he's a decent player. Loves not premier league quality and I don't know what Moyes is smoking taking him.

I see Moyes is doing a fine job of bringing some of the top players into the club.

I wonder really how much Moyes saw of either during his short spell at the club?

Who the feck is Kone?

Best of luck to McNair. I have my doubts on him being a CB though but the guy is good on the ball. Was very good against Chelsea last season and hopefully does well for Sunderland.

CB Sunderland signed for ~£5m in January from Lorient, came in and was quite an integral part of them staying up as he played very well defensively and even added a couple of goals from set pieces. Now being linked with an £18m move to Everton.

The funniest thing that Bruce did was to buy Titus Bramble (for the second time!):

Good move for both and would not be suprised to see McNair move to a bigger club in a few years. Not too sure on Love, havent seen much of him

McNair will do well.. I havent seen enough of Donald Love.. the one game I saw him play for the first team, he looked a little lost.. from what I remember.. But it was just one game..

McNair
- I would prefer to loan him out but a permanent move is probably the best for him.
- A move to Sunderland is the perfect move for him too.
- We should get at least £8m for him or otherwise we're again terrible sellers.

Love
- To sell him is the right decision for club and him.
- I don't think he's good enough for Sunderland.
- He should get £1-2m for him.
Good post. Both have gone right to the back of the queue. Think McNair will do alright. Don't know enough about Love to comment.

Tufty who runs that Stretford End Flags mentions on twitter they've also bid for Januzaj and enquired about Fellaini.

He reckons the bid for Januzaj is around £15m and we've turned down the enquiry for Fellaini.

£15m with some sort of buy-back clause or sell-on clause wouldn't be bad at all, in my opinion.

His debut against Everton was a very good one too. We're absolutely terrified that Lukaku would eat him alive yet he produced an assured performance in that game. Still remember the way he used his head to make a crucial block towards the end of the game when the ball looked almost certain to be going into the net.

Very true. Last year was the first time when I was on Readytogo so I don't have any idea what happened during Steve Bruce's time but they're really a funny bunch over there and quite likable.

If McNair and Love do end up there, I hope they do well. Like yourself, I'm not sure about whether Love is a PL quality player but I'm always very patient when it comes to our young players.

I wonder really how much Moyes saw of either during his short spell at the club?
I'm guessing he probably had a word or two with Joyce before signing them.

What is the actual fee? I've seen 8m, 5.5m and now this 1.2m! 1.2m would be an extremely bad business yet again.

Haha their thread have already passed 50 pages. 48 hours until they sign, can they pass 1000?

I've always had a soft spot for them since they seem to sign our players that aren't good enough. But ever since they did the poznan when aguero scored in ot I've wanted to see them crash and burn. So please feck off down to the championship and meet your beloved Newcastle
