Yes! Great news. Neither of them would ever be good enough for us in my opinion, I just do not see it.

In saying that, good luck to them at Sunderland and I hope they do well.
What is so "great" about this news?

The Readytogo is a funny place really. The thing I find really interesting is they like to wallow in their sorrows bashing their club and players all day long but when a fan from another club says something against them, they attack that poster en masse!

I quite like them especially since I visited that forum to see their reactions after Rashford got picked for Euro. When fans from other clubs were heavily criticizing Rashford saying Defoe should have gone instead of him, I found it strange that an overwhelming number of fans on Readytogo were actually in favor of Rashford even though Defoe was a Sunderland player! The other day I saw someone opened a thread to laugh at us for Pogba fee instead he got shot down by his own fans!:D

I think McNair would do well for them. He's definitely a PL quality player.

Blackett won't follow because he won't get a premier league club. He is dire.

In LVGs first game V Swansea, I was sitting in one of the corners at OT and some youth team players behind me spent the entire game complaining that it was a joke that Blackett got anywhere near the first team.

He hasnt exactly proven them wrong

Optimistic?, i think Mila Kunis dropping into my lap is less optimistic.
Chelsea sold them Papy Bosudgugugf for 8, Liverpool sold Smith for 6, Bolasie is about to go for £30m, Liverpool sold Ibe for £15m and so on.

I really think we should get more than £8m for the pair.

I just noticed this as I was looking at Sundarland on Fantasy PL.....they have 15 outfield players on there, 4 of whom are questionable for this weekend...

It's alright; they've only away to City at the weekend...

I wish them both the best of luck in the future, but I don't see either making much of an impact for Sunderland this season. McNair more than Love obviously, but neither seem ready to start in the Premier League I think. I also have zero faith that we'll be getting anything more than shite money for the pair of them, but it's right to let them go if they haven't got futures here.

Sunderwhelmed

McNair will be a decent signing for them, he will develop into a reasonable holding midfielder for them.

He is better than Rodwell anyway.

Love is a league 1/2 player and it baffles me Moyes wants him in the PL. He is not even that young and I don't think will improve at all really.

Neither are anywhere near good enough for United.

No bs sentiment from Jose.

Also I am on that RTG forum and the infliction of Moyes couldn't happen to a better set of fans.

They are bitter, delusional and basically illiterate.

Newcastle are the true kings of the North-East.

McNair
- I would prefer to loan him out but a permanent move is probably the best for him.
- A move to Sunderland is the perfect move for him too.
- We should get at least £8m for him or otherwise we're again terrible sellers.

Love
- To sell him is the right decision for club and him.
- I don't think he's good enough for Sunderland.
- He should get £1-2m for him.
 on what planet is McNair worth £8m?!

Mcnair will be a good signing for them. Remember michael keane is being chased by the champions for 18 million and mcnair can be about the same level probably and atleast be a prem player long term.

I would imagine Sunderland fans are pretty troubled by this summer's business. They're both good young players but I don't think either is ready to really contribute to a PL season in a consistent way, which is what they badly need at the moment. For all the talk about Hull, Sunderland's business hasn't exactly screamed ambition, particularly when you consider the sort of tv money they're bringing in this season.

I always liked McNair. Reckon I must have missed the game where he proved himself a complete and utter shambles because the flack he gets on here has always puzzled me. Excellent signing for Sunderland and they'll likely pick him up for peanuts as usual.

Love on the other hand never looked a United quality player. Seemed like a dirty fecker as well during the few minutes he got last year.

Think he could be as good as Michael? Hmm, I don't know. I think his ceiling is a little lower than that. On another note, why the hell are Burnley considering selling their best cb? That's asking for trouble.

Sunderland preparing for life in the Championship. Good forward thinking.

£8m for the pair would be good business. McNair could probably develop into a solid enough player for a team of that level, it's difficult to see why any Premier League team would be interested in signing Love though.

If we get £8 million for McNair we should put a statue of Moyes up for the rest of the season, think Paddypower might have one lying around somewhere

Good luck to them. McNair will probably do well there, I think Love would have been better off somewhere else to be honest.

I hope we have buyback clauses and sell-on clauses
If we're going to continue to sell cheap, we need these just in case

I think McNair could progress to be a solid PL player with a bit of patience, I've no clue about Love. Hardly seen him in all honesty.

£8m would represent great business, McNair could make a decent PL player but there's still a lot of work to do with him and he's only got a year left on his deal whilst Love is virtually worthless and seems a pointless buy unless he's literally being chucked in for next to nothing.

A very underwhelming pair of signings though as mentioned for Sunderland particularly when McNair is likely the Kone replacement.

Although they did the Poznan against us and are generally dull to watch for the majority of the season,I've never really wanted them to go down .

They usually beat City at home and had O'shea and Brown there, two great United servants.

Who the feck is Kone?

Best of luck to McNair. I have my doubts on him being a CB though but the guy is good on the ball. Was very good against Chelsea last season and hopefully does well for Sunderland.
