Summer Transfers

These threads are so kneejerk

What Crustanoid said. Value is the key word. Why? because we don't have any money to spend!

Out:

DDG - flop
Rafael - not United quality
Fabio - will cease to operate without his brother
Smalling - not stepped up
Rio - broken back
Vidic - off to Madrid
Jones - £18m? The feck? Get out.
Evra - been wank for years, in fact he was never that good, get rid
Giggs - old
Scholes - ginger
Nani - not Ronaldo
Valencia - came from Wigan. Wigan!
Young - inconsistent diver
Carrick - only passes backwards
Cleverley - overrated
Chicharito - shit first touch
Berba - should never have bought him
Rooney - money grabbing cnut
Welbeck - Bambi on ice

 love it!

We had a bit of a clean out last summer to be fair.

I can see all those listed leaving. They are all fringe players who haven't made their mark. I wish Fabio wasn't going. He has been as good as Evra when fit in my opinion.

Knowing us, we'll pick up a no-name striker, another winger, and a defender who we'll play out of position. When that jack-of-all-trades-but-master-of-none defender does great two games in a row, we'll call Fergie a genius. When he busts for the remainder of the season we'll question Fergie. The striker will be compared to the legend of Dong, and the winger will be a diver.

If we're lucky, we'll grab an overweight midfielder to replace Anderson. What's Andy Reid doing these days? Or this gem of a memory:

so who should make way for new players in the first team next season? i say:

out:

Park, Anderson, Owen, Berbatov, (fletcher?), Fabio (loan), Macheda (loan),

In:

Hazard, Clyne, Kagawa, Box to Box Midfielder (Martinez), Pogba (if he stays), LB (dont care who, but whoever it is they will probably even attempt to stay in position and not try to become a CB)

No one can replace Paul Scholes. In matter of fact we still play with Robson and Ince in CM since no one could replace them as well.

I agree though we should fit in the new signings into the solid base we already have with Lindegaard in goal, Evans as our captain, Park to run midfield and Owen to lead the front line. We'll be unstoppable.

Leading Man United into the Championship, huzzahhh!

We need to be realistic here.
As ever one of our coaches has come out and declared an interest in a player and straight away Mancini comments on the same player. When we will ever learn.

We need two mids, a creative one in the
Mould of modric ander Herrera, goetze or erikkson. I think however we will end up with cheap option in Kagawa.

We also need a physical midfield enforcer who can drive us forward, but where do we find this yaya toure like player? Plenty of talk about m'vila but he will be off to Madrid. Sandro from spurs??Martinez??-surely he'll go to barca!

Then there is a striker, with berba off and owen likely to go I'd like to see a world class striker come in to take burden off Rooney, something different. Neymar would be awesome as would llorente or hazard but If we do sign a striker it will more likely be van wolfswinkel from sporting.

I agree we will sign nathaniel clyne from palace too.

And City :)

Martinez, Kagawa, Hazard, Strootman, and long term Evra replacement learn the ropes and give Patrice some rest next year.

Five players may sound like a lot but we've bought four good players in one year before and not all of these would be the expensive variety.

With the possibility of Giggs, Scholes, Fletcher, Park, Pogba and Anderson leaving in the next 12 months, buying 2 attack minded midfielders and 2 DM types doesn't sound particularly extreme.

We need a LB, never seen clyne play but if he's good then fine by me.

Kagawa would be great.

Martinez would be brilliant but there's now we're getting him so someone else of his ilk at CM.

summer is coming and muppets are already over the place

I want Carlos Queiroz back, was always more at ease when I saw his tanned face on the sidelines. Phelan just isn't doing it for me.

Very good.

Although I question the Fabio one. You imply he is currently operating?

Need a midfield overhaul to be honest. Two central midfielders.

A left back for sure. Evra isn't the player he once was.

And hopefully someone who can playmake. Either from out wide or one from central midfield as one of the two central midfielders (as above).

We will buy Hazard and we will sub him on for Giggs after 75 minutes.

Ha ha, but there may be a grain of truth in that. Could make young midfielders feel they might not get their chances with United. For example, selecting Park over Cleverley.

I predict:

An obscure centre back for 5-10 million
An overpriced winger / forward who has been fairly good in the premier league
No central midfielder as there won't be enough value / all our 'targets' will go elsewhere for better wages
Gill will make an announcement shortly that we're going to spend the warchest this summer
SAF will big up the owners at some point

Yeah pretty much this. I said a while ago that one really good midfielder like Martinez would be enough but given this season I think we need 2, hopefully Kagawa too, and an established full back.

The key is having players capable of playing 4-3-3 effectively again, we don't have that anymore, haven't had it for nearly 2 seasons.

Summer is a painful time to be a United fan. It is so weird. Man United are supposed to be the biggest sports club in the world. The most decorated club in England. The richest european football club bar Real and Barcelona. And yet teams like City, Chelsea are 20 times more likely to sign a top athlete during summer. We like to dream about Wesley Sneijder or Alexis Sanchez, but the truth is United are not capable to attract such well established talent.

Barcelona and Real will buy world class players for their bench options, City will get them self Zlatan and Aguero .Chelsea will get KAKA and Neymar. even declining team like Milan and Inter always make most exciting transfers. But never United

United is like this stupid jew kid on Christmas eve , looking through the window , all alone and depressed, to the kids down the street who all are playing with their new toys that they've been waiting for a year. We United fans just like that jewish kid, are left in disgust when summer transfer window opens, and all we can do is to watch at other teams excitedly unwrapping their new "toys". Knowing that we will never be in their place.

God i despise summer. it breaks my heart every single year

Who need some South American diver when you can sign someone like Ashley Young?

We might be the Jewish kid of European football. We might not get the newest, glitziest toys. But we have Hanukkah, the Festival Of Lights, which lasts eight whole days. That's much longer than those silly Christians get. We get to light a candle each day. See that? I just lit one of them - it was Phil Jones. Look at that! See how he flickers and mesmerises. Ooh look, another day has passed: its Smalling. Hello Christopher. Welcome, and shalom. Another day? I give you Pogba.

See how God loves his chosen people? Jesus schmeesus.

I usually avoid these.

Those of you saying knee jerk want a fecking shake.

Evra has been poor for 2 seasons.

Our midfield is so desperate for creative spark we needed to bring back a player who retired.

Wake up.

Will be very concerning if we don't make some good quality (mostly midfield) signings this summer.

This may come as a shock, but City have already signed Aguero. Last summer!

Been reading the tweets of @Malachians (Co-Host of Beyond the Pitch. )

If it's true then it's very very worrying.

Also been told that Ferguson thinks Utd are just fine in Midfield, unless things change he will not buy a midfielder this summer

I'm just the messenger, if you don't believe it thats up to you. Been told Fergie thinks Carrick and Scholes are irreplaceable

Berbatov will be replaced in house with Utd considering given Owen another year, loaning out Keane then Keane taking the role in 12 months

Can Fergie honestly believe that midfield is fine?!

1. Fletcher
2. Not happening

The only time our midfield is fine is with Scholes and Carrick, it is too bad scholes is nearly retiring for the second time and Carrick is very confidence based.
