Local press are reporting that Breel Embolo has decided to join #MUFC instead of RB Leipzig. https://t.co/ib3gOoAHu2

Report says #MUFC will pay FC Basel a fee of €20million and that Embolo will sign a 5 or 6 year deal with an annual salary of €3m.

PS: I know he's not a journo but he's just relaying the local news (from Leipzig Germany) and translating

Sweden Coach Erik Hamren:

Players have their leisure time on the schedule, what they do then there’s nothing I can do to control.

But it would not be okay for Zlatan to fly to Manchester.

I’m one hundred percent sure it will not affect Zlatan. He has been in the business a long time. He handles it perfectly

They sound quite bitter about it too. Seems like they're saying he's only coming for the money...

He's not translating it correctly though: It says nothing about the fee we could potentially pay, just stating that the fee Leipzig who've paid is around €20m. And it also says nothing about the contract length... just that Leipzig wanted to pay Embolo €3m, while we could offer €5-6m. No more, no less.

Thanks for that mate.

If Pogba shines at the Euros Perez will want him even more and there's nothing we could do about that. Pogba would be a dream signing, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

So we're to believe that Stones could sign for Barca, but is choosing City?

Regardless, they're really upping the ante for next season. Gundogan, Stones, Laporte, Aubameyang.....added to their current squad is very impressive and shows real ambition from Pep and City. Assuming they all sign as expected, that is.

I hope we outbid them. An absolutely crazy fee. Just once I want to see us beat them to a player.

"I want to stop seeing the best players go to other clubs in Spain, I want us to be standing out as the biggest club in the world. We’ll do absolutely everything we can to achieve that."

It's time to deliver on that mission statement. Real Madrid are willing to spend €120m on Pogba? feck Real Madrid. Spend £120m and bring him back. Put the club back on the map.

We're a huge club and can raise his profile in just the same way Madrid can, we've got the Mourinho factor and he can still move to Madrid in 4 or 5 years when he's in his prime (and given us some of his best years). We'll still turn a profit on him and have a few trophies to boot.

We've got the money to embarrass Real. It would be an absolutely huge watershed moment if we outmuscle them for a player of Pogba's profile. We need to put up money for him that makes the Spanish banks colon wither.

Thought we had stopped handing out long contracts. I would have thought 4 years would be enough then go from there.

It would be the best thing I've ever seen.
I see you're trying to hold onto your muppet of the year title.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
