Would be good for them to spend alot of their money on him, not saying he's crap but he's never world class.
City's director of football is Spanish, as is their manager. Wouldn't surprise me at all.News of a transfer between two English clubs of an English player doesn't break in Spain with absolutely nothing being said about it in the English press.
Fantastic young English talent, I was hoping we'd sign him.

City need two centre-backs to be honest. Can't see Everton letting him go. They'll get Laporte though.
I bet they would let him go for £40-£50 million. Every team has a breaking point for a player and City have more money than sense when it comes to young English players. Can't see Everton letting him go. They'll get Laporte though.

This. Oh well, hopefully they paid a ridiculous fee for him at least.
Instantly. We rejected City twice but £49 million was too good to turn down considering Sterling had made it clear he wanted out.Sterling comes to mind.
For the prices, both Stones and Laporte would be seen as starters despite Otamendi costing a fortune.Considering Otamendi and Kompany would expect to be starters I wonder how both Stones and Laporte fit into the side. Also, it will be interesting to see how Pep manages Otamendi and Kompany, both of whom are quite average when it comes to ball distribution.
It was the only right choice for you guys, in my opinion. He wasn't particularly impressive this season, eh?Instantly. We rejected City twice but £49 million was too good to turn down considering Sterling had made it clear he wanted out.
Stones has been far more error prone this past season. So much so that he was dropped. He is also being touted to go for mega money. It's funny to me how the same ones that shit on Stones every week are all excited about Bailly, an equally young, raw and error prone CB who will also disrupt the back 4 when he goes off for 5 weeks in the middle of the season for the ACON.

I don't think the price tag represents a right to be in the starting 11 especially in the case of Laporte who would need time to adjust. Moreover, Kompany is the club captain and has the summer to recover from injury, surely he would be starting given city's impressive defensive record when he's on the pitch. For the prices, both Stones and Laporte would be seen as starters despite Otamendi costing a fortune.

No not really but it would have been interesting to see how he would have done with Klopp in charge. I've always felt that he'd thrive in a central attacking midfield role.It was the only right choice for you guys, in my opinion. He wasn't particularly impressive this season, eh?
