Well if this is the case and we are not at all interested in him you'd hope someone from United would call Leipzig and says its a load of bollocks and agent and player are trying to fleece you. That's what I would do if I worked for United as the amount of times our name is mentioned for this reason or contract renewals is a joke to be fair. The Messi one of late was a cracker.
 
If we are after really after Embolo I may start to believe we are actually recruiting with a strategy for the first time in a long time, a CB and a Striker with the first 2 signings..too much common sense being used here, I don't like it.

Embolo would be a very good fit for our side actually. I'm not going to get my hopes up for now though, still expecting he'll end up at Leipzig.
 
To me, Embolo looks Mane like. The obligatory YT clip i watched really didnt excite me tbh, second touch a tackle?

Surely, BVB Micky the better option, bearing in mind we need to get back on the success ladder sooner rather than.

Get both, if other clubs can stockpile talent in each position then why can't we?

Would love Mane here as think his pace, aggression and eye for goal would improve us dramatically in the final 3rd.

That Proto guy is a pathologic liar. Lying in the media about footballers buying new houses in new cities is one of his specialties. Messi was also falsely announced buying in Paris, CR7 brought him to court for repeated similar false claims. He even pretended to be the inspiration for the 50 Shades of Grey novels. :lol:

At this stage he should find a warm place in a lunatic asylum for his own good. And ours.

Its all too early to predict how well he'd adopt to a midfield position. The few games he has played in that position he's not done badly. One of the world's best managers thought Rooney would grow in that position and ex-players and managers have been touting him to be moved into a midfield position with England regardless of the fact that England has their best midfielders already in the team.

But then, you know better I suppose!

Di Maria, under Jose would've been fantastic, as he was at Madrid and then at PSG.
MUFC was the only bad season he has had recently.

The problem was that LVG wanted an attacking player, to defend...not attack.
Last season, we scored far too many goals, but this season, LVG got his preferred team/players/tactic and you saw how ultra defensive we were,
There is no way that Di Maria could function in an ultra defensive team.
If we had Messi in our team, I'm sure LVG will tell him to focus less on scoring goals and more on defending.
 
Any idea if Matteo Pedrosi is reliable? He tweeted three hours ago that Embolo rejected Red Bulls Leipzig and is in discussions with Utd.

It isnt too early as he aint very good on the ball... he cant run with it or dribble very well nor do he posses an great passing range and he dosnt do through balls very well either so this rules him out as any decent attacking outlet in MF that wants to actually challenge for PL + CL as you actually need high skills to do that. He does runs a lot but that it isnt enough to do well in Midfield for a club of this size. Rooney seems very popular and is the biggest english name and in england this seems more important than actual suitability and skill set when selected for the national team. For years English managers have tried to get midfielders like Gerrard and Lampard into a midfield 2 rather than build a mf duo that actually compliments each other. The English national team have been average for years and this wont change as long the mentality stays the same. LvG thought he could use Rooney there and guess what ? he lost hes job as he underperformed bigtime so not the man id trust when it comes to building our future team and its setup.

Better them than City. Imagine Pogba sitting with the Sheiks and Pep with smug smiles, spouting the classic "I signed for the biggest club in Manchester" line..
