Pogba-yes. Ibra and Miki probably. Ibra looked it was on for a while and the effort in negotiating with Dortmund quickly for Miki shows we were determined to get him as well so I guess he was seen as priority.
Bailly is the only one I would question-I cant imagine that we didnt look at another more proven centre back or have a stronger interest in Stones. But when the likes of Hummels/Ramos/Pique/Bonnuci were all unobtainable for various reasons we probably needed to look elsewhere.

Bailly appears a signing that we have been scouting for a while and one we quickly sealed before someone else signed him up. There is zero proof that we were ever in for Stones as much as people have tried to link us to him.

Well Bailly is a better at defending than Stones so I can absolutely understand why we didn't spend 20m more on a guy who is bang average at defending.

Definitely plan A how quickly we wrapped it up. Definitely would have sounded out Stones too, Mourinho tried to sign him last season after all. Manolas and Koubilaby would be good options too but no idea if we looked into them.
