Interesting to see how he does there after all the hype from the Portuguese fans (and one weird City fan who was ardent he is way better than Renato Sanches). I think Liverpool were very interested in him but in the end opted for Wijnaldum, whether that was due to price, or time delays, or just opting against him I'm not sure.

Looked a very average player to me. Works hard and does a few good things here and there but nothing out of the ordinary.

Yup, looks like he's in the mould of players like Wijnaldum, Delph, Ander Herrera :( etc.

 Not happy with this news. Bravo IMO is current the best ball playing keeper. He's very good keeper in traditional sense too. City having him would be significant upgrade in their possession play.

This thread has died a slow death post Pogba

Mourinho and Woodward have killed this thread. Dithering Dave at least gave the Muppets a lot of false rumours to latch on to

I'm quite enjoying the feeling of not having to check it every five minutes during a summer transfer window!

Can't be arsed. We've won the league.

Barvo is a little short for a 'keeper isn't he? DdG struggled when he first came here and he's taller, don't think Bravo will like set pieces against the bigger teams, specially with a make shift defence/Stones in front of him.

Pep might get a shock with a signing like this. More than any other major league a keeper in the PL needs to be able to dominate his area - especially against the more physical sides.

He had a great ball player in Neuer which seems to be what he wants. Might not work for him here though.

Looked a bit ordinary at the Euro's. Not a great measure of a player but I'm not sure what sort of player he's supposed to be.

I noted Stoke targeted Victor Valdes from set pieces yesterday. This was one of the concerns I had about him when he was a possible replacement for De Gea.

I've got a feeling United are going to pull one more big signing out of nowhere (Falcao shock factor levels) in the last week or two of the window

Exactly but Neuer is massive so surely P

Sounds like you've tapped DiMarzio' phone? What's the inside scoop?

If there is one surprise signing, it'll be a young CM that we just loan back anyway. And even that won't be much of a shock given recent rumors.

Meh he is 33 and I bet he gets pressured a lot more in the PL than he did in la liga
33 is not that old for GK. For other teams, then it may be a problem but Pep team will look to dominate possession and in theory, their GK won't need to defend as much in traditional sense. His ball playing would be an asset to their passing game.

Bolasie is a good player but if the likes of him a 27 year-old who's spent most of his career playing in the lower leagues is worth £25m, then suddenly £89m for Pogba doesn't seem as crazy.

Napoli wants Darmian (Calciomercato), Mourinho still keen on Varane (AS), Blind wanted by De Boer at Inter (The Times).

(((Soton confident of keeping Fonte (Mirror) & Borthwick-Jackson close to joining WBA on loan (Daily star).)))

£89m for Pogba will seem less and less crazy over the next 3 weeks in my opinion. I fully expect players who've never proven themselves on the biggest stage to be leaving for £50m+ (Lukaku/Lacazette etc), with bench warmers like Benteke replacing them for £30m+.
