This might cheer you up, notice the wall:

After reading this five times, am I correct in saying that it makes sense? Maybe 'the bed' is the only thing that seems wrong after reading a few times.

Haha fair enough, it does.

Why do people suddenly rate Valencia as a right back

Some of us always did.

The hate of Valencia on here is both baffling and stupid.

He is by far our best right back and also a loyal servant who really cares about playing for the club as you could see when he has been given the captaincy in pre-season.

Our last four managers all rated him highly but the caf experts know better apparently than Mourinho and Sir Alex.

He's not and he's not either, but I wish he could be.

Valencia might actually be the best rightback in the league right now after Bellerin.

I don't know why people keep labelling him as poor player for the rightback position. He is a decent defender, he is one of the fastest players in the league, he is a very physical aggressive player that fits very well into the english style of play and he can deliver dangerous crosses (Zlatan already scored on two of them) and he is reliable and always plays on a consistent.

Darmian needs to get back to his level he had at Torino, needs to work on his positioning but he is a decent enough option to have that can replace Valencia.

I like TFM on rightback but we don't need him there and he is actually much better and more suited for the DM role and with Carrick turning 35 he should be playing more on that position than RB.

They've just let Vermaelen leave haven't they, and Bartra earlier this summer. Can't see them selling Mathieu. They'd be left with Pique, Mascherano and Umtiti.

He's been increasingly improving at right-back, and after his return from injury last season he was amongst our best players. He's done as a winger, but his workrate and increasing comfort at right-back, he has become a strong support to our attack, and with a stronger midfield, I am comfortable with him carrying on the role.

TFM I'd like developing in the midfield, but covering Valencia occasionally is fine with me.

Valencia is a decent player. But there's no way he should be the best right back we have. His positioning is woeful at times. I do like him as a player but he is seriously overrated on here.

Valencia is a lot better than decent. Yes he makes a couple of mistakes every season - which will cost us, but then again so do most players. And his contribution going forward will more than make up for that. And with Zlatan in the box - Valencia will get a lot of assists this season.

:nono: Just let em offload Matthieu, then they may think about getting another CB to cover. Then we offer a them Rojo. :smirk:

Baffling. He's the best we've got but that doesn't detract from the fact he's fecking awful.

Exactly. so weird to see people referring to valencia as "solid RB", he really is not. Our RB position is my biggest point of contention going into the new season.

He'd compete with Adomah for RW and Gaston Ramirez for AM, I think he'd get enough games.
Bah. Game time is game time but I really want to see him deeper in a three man midfield. I really think that's where he'll flourish so somewhere like PSV, who play a 4-3-3 and have ample competition would've been my ideal choice.

They've spent 10M on De Roon so I doubt he'd get much time as a number 8. The other midfielder is leadbitter who I think is the captain.

#Galliani: '#Cosentino Does not work for the #Milan market'. Eyes in Manchester

Calciomercato quoting Tuttosport linking Mangala and Januzaj to AC Milan.

Milan/Juve/Monaco/Zenit have interest in Leandro Paredes. Roma adamant he'll stay.
