Doesn't ACN happen in 2017?! Do we need to buy one more CB to cover for team when Bailly goes for the competition?!

I'm really glad we're done with our main signings, but I feel we could use one more CB.

Can't stand him either.

So proud to play for a Welsh team and represent Wales...despite erm, not being Welsh

Really? You dislike him because he's proud to represent a country he has more affinity towards? Rather simple that.

He's good friends with Sturridge (which is more reason to dislike him) so the move to Everton makes sense.

Few rumours that Wolves have signed Anderson Talisca from Benfica for £21.5m!

yeah why not it's good to have such opinion about somebody you've seen play twice

Wtf is wrong with you? Yannick Bolasie plays in the PL, I've seen plenty of him, i simply don't rate him as highly as you obviously do.

So strange. Going for a player in a position they are most strong in...not buying a striker, midfielder or defender. Bizarre.

I honestly don't get Wenger. Mahrez is good and will probably start for them, but why is he so resistant to signing players they desperately need? Is it because the fans keep calling for the obvious signings and he's trying to prove he knows best?

All he ever invests in are attacking midfielders and wingers.

Ivory Coast doesn't qualify IIRC.

If there is no release clause, Leicester would be stupid to accept that deal. That money would probably get you Bolasie level player these days. Not worth losing Mahrez.

So far Ivory Coast haven't qualified for ACON 2017.....but if they're avoiding a defeat against Sierra Leone in September then they're qualified.

Arse throwing the big bucks for the player of the year. Fecking hell I know we ve had our trouble but if there s truth to that bid for Mahrez they really do have some clowns running the transfers there.

this will end With Leicester insisting on €45 million - and Arsenal refusing to raise their offer by €4 million :)

My impression is that he's just very indecisive. If you read some of the things he's said about players he almost signed, you get phrases like "I'm not sure if he was ready", or "I wasn't prepared to commit at the time". Tells you a lot.

That's a huge loss. Soldado out with a longterm ACL injury, CL match in a week and now their coach. Strange turn of events, wonder if it's linked to a failure by the board to provide him reinforcements and Soldado was quite literally insult to injury

To play the devil's advocate, there are really no standout strikers available in the market. He has no chance of getting Lewandowski, Suarez, Benzema or Aguero, especially given his reluctance to break the bank. He could get Lacazette, but is he much of an upgrade on Giroud? Is Icardi that good?

Theo and Ox have can neither stay fit nor are they consistent. The idea, I guess, is to add another creative player with goals in him to help increase the overall productivity of the attack.

For that price, we should have gone for him, he is experienced, good in the air and the traditional defender Mourinho is looking for.

I have a feeling that Mourinho will only be buying first team or potential starting 11 players from now on. One by one he will make his team.

Arsenal create so many chances though. That has hardly been a problem for them. Its the finishing that continues to let them down. And Wenger has had at least 3 years now to sign a striker, its simply not true that he couldnt have signed anyone seeing as many strikers have moved in that period.

Arsenal are the only club in the world that give the impression that transfer bids are submitted exactly how they would be in FM.

Click the drop down, pick a number that sounds nice, click the plus icon a couple of times and submit.

It might be yeah, I think he wanted more/better players and did not get them. It's really out of the blue and ruffled up a few feathers around in the office for me.

I agree. We've bought enough Rojo type players of late. Jose wants a really strong first 11. We then have a good squad.

Traore (Chelsea) to Ajax on a year long loan.

Good move for all parties.
Traore is pretty talented, Ajax has a great record with young players and just sold Milik so he'll definately get playing time. Also he'll actually be able to play in a good performing team not like many other Chelsea prospects which were/are on loan to their farm team Vitesse.

You got no arguments from me there. He should have paid the 36m odd to get Higuain from Madrid. One of the biggest transfer mistakes Wenger has made in the last couple of years.

As of this season, it's not easy to find a top striker in current market, unless you can offer close to 100m Euros, which Wenger will never do. There is no one really available in Wenger's price range (my assumption) who is better than Giroud. Yes, they do create a lot of chances even without Mahrez, but he'll give them an extra dimension from the right. Plus, he is a nifty finisher. I am in no way suggesting that he is a replacement for a striker. Simply that he'd be a good addition in a position where Arsenal could use a better player.
