Good move for all parties.
Traore is pretty talented, Ajax has a great record with young players and just sold Milik so he'll definately get playing time. Also he'll actually be able to play in a good performing team not like many other Chelsea prospects which were/are on loan to their farm team Vitesse.

True, Ajax doesn't have a first striker atm. Only two very talented ones. Traore will be their main striker this season.

You got no arguments from me there. He should have paid the 36m odd to get Higuain from Napoli. One of the biggest transfer mistakes Wenger has made in the last couple of years.

As of this season, it's not easy to find a top striker in current market, unless you can offer close to 100m Euros, which Wenger will never do. There is no one really available in Wenger's price range (my assumption) who is better than Giroud. Yes, they do create a lot of chances even without Mahrez, but he'll give them an extra dimension from the right. Plus, he is a nifty finisher. I am in no way suggesting that he is a replacement for a striker. Simply that he'd be a good addition in a position where Arsenal could use a better player.
True.

I like Wenger and respect everything he has achieved, but the man is truly stubborn. Year after year the fans demand a striker, year after year he does nothing. The only one they have signed is Welbeck, and he really isnt the difference to winning titles imo.

The Market has changed, Wenger has to change with it, or leave.

Don't think he'll change. Most likely will leave after this season.

There must be a clause in his contract! You can't buy the player of the year for little more than an average player moving from Palace to Everton!

If not Wenger is bluffing the fans with empty bids, but he's rubbing clubs up the wrong way, he'd done the same with Lacazette by offering less than what West Ham did.

We won't sell Blind. He's too reliable and can play several positions. Jose always has 'one Blind' in his squads, like Fergie did.

Have the good folks who tirelessly worked on this thread providing tweets given up on it after our business was done?!

Very few tweets today. This thread was my one stop shop to get info on the various transfer deals. :(

The lack of tweets are considered the "post sex cigarette" following all the hard work on the Pogba deal.

Chelsea/Inter fighting for Joao Mario, Few PL teams including Everton bidding on Slimani, Talisca blablabla, Gabigol blalblabla, Sassuolo/Chievo want Balotelli, Mangala target for Milan/Valencia, clubs interested in Roma's Leandro Paredes, Ighalo signs new contract, Koulibaly might or might not stay at Napoli.. Etc, not much. The rest is just Arsenal trying to sign Lacazette, Mustafi and Mahrez, i'd refer you to the "Wenger chasing shadows"-thread.

This might cheer you up, notice the wall:

Fantastic roundup of all the news Sir. Thank You for your effort. :)

Really? You dislike him because he's proud to represent a country he has more affinity towards? Rather simple that.

He's good friends with Sturridge (which is more reason to dislike him) so the move to Everton makes sense.

How does he have more "affinity" with Wales? It's a much easier way to rack up international caps

Nice roundup, cheers! That quote is a bit... cringeworthy.

Rack up international caps? If he didn't want to represent Wales then he could have declined like Shawcross has done, do you hate Podolski because he's Polish and not German?

I don't want a debate in what criteria a player needs to meet before he gets to play for certain teams, but to hate someone for choosing to play for an international team and then showing great passion after doing so seems weird to me.

Excellent. Can he be a right back? Please be a right back.

Valencia is a very good rightback and Darmian is good cover, we have more need for a good CDM and that is exactly what he can be and what he should be in my opinion.

He's not and he's not either, but I wish he could be.
