Won't exactly miss Young, but I won't celebrate his departure like I would've done 2 years ago.

Been solid for a couple of years, but we need better players than him if we want to get back to the top.

Young and Schweinsteiger are on a combined £380k/week or there abouts, can easily see why they would be numbers one and two to be moved on.

Getting both off the books would more than completely negate Pogba and Micky's wages.

Our wage bill must be sky high at the moment.

Indeed. We've got Rooney, Schweinsteiger, Ibrah, Pogba and De Gea altogether on £1.16m/week.

Fellaini, Young, Mata, Schneiderlin, Mkhitaryan and Depay are all around £90-140k/week.

Football really has gone mad

That's disgusting - they really should be making a big loss on him after the season they've had with him

As for Young, I do like him but we can't really justify his place anymore based on his contribution over recent seasons. Whilst his wages are significantly lower than they first were when we were paying him his signing-on bonus over the length of his contract, he will still be on quite high money for a club like Palace. I imagine that plus the money they are finding to give Liverpool will mean that we will get embarrassingly low money for our player yet again.

Ashley Williams would be a great buy for us, brings experience and reliability we've missed. He might necessarily start but he's be a great option to have and would be a good partner for any of our other center backs. Too bad we don't seem to be interested.

Should we hijack? If Jose wants an experienced defender, and the fee isn't any larger than that...?

We really should. He is the sort of no nonsense reliable defender our squad requires. Williams, Bailly, Smalling, Blind and Tuanzebe would be very good. 15m should get him.

Who knows if we are lucky it might lead to Everton signing Jones.

Everton have agreed a deal for Bolasie, according to Sky. Can't find the tweet yet.

Everton have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace to sign Yannick Bolasie, according to Sky sources.

It is thought the fee could rise to £30m.

Mental.

Can be a good player on his day but he's far too inconsistent and erratic. Don't think he'll improve them too much to be honest.

I read this all the time about him, but I just don't get it. I watched him frequently last season and he was very consistent. He caused problems in virtually every game. When he got injured Palace absolutely plummeted in the league. To be honest I get the impression that people look at his goals and assists stats, combined with his eye catching style and assume he's all show and doesn't produce much, so label him an "inconsistent." But that just doesn't take into account all the things his does that lead to goals via the FK's he wins, corners he wins, or chances that come as a result of his trickery. He was causing problems week in week out last season, yet virtually every time I ever see him mentioned, people come along a talk about him being inconsistent. I'm sure, like all players, he goes through periods when his form isn't at its peak, but not more than the average Prem player.

We need to start offering out our deadwood to other premier league clubs before they spend all their money.

I was just about to question why they are going after Young when they are quite stocked with wingers. Guess that's why.

If Everton have got £30m to waste on an overhyped player, why the heck are we not chucking Rooney at them?!

Skysports are reporting Sunderland have agreed a fee for McNair and Donald Love.

Is Love any good?
