Why are people so dissapointed about him leaving yet concerned about Carrick, Schweinsteiger may have been a far better player than Carrick 3/4 years ago but has declined far more than Carrick the last couple of years even if he is younger.

I'd understand if he translated to euros in a french tweet about transfer between english clubs, because the audience would more or less solely be connected to the euro. However, as you state. Not only the british speak/read english.
