Have Barcelona bought a replacement for Alves yet? Seems strange to buy a back-up left back, presumably for a few million, when they have Alba, Adriano and 3 centre backs who can play left back yet seemingly limited options on the right.

Vidal is there. No idea how he has been for them. Haven't played much.

I think Adriano will go, he was strongly linked with Lazio. On the right Vidal and Sergi Roberto are the main options currently.

Great news if true. Everton will make them pay a large sum and he stalled in growth last year and City hasn't had a good track record making CBs better in recent years

He only had one poor season and is still young enough for Pep to make him an awesome player. I won't be so eager to write him off just yet.

I do wonder if they could afford the wages. Unless he's willing to take a cut maybe for first team games. I do also think it could be paper talk in terms of putting two and two together due to how he left Chelsea.

Also I'm a little surprised we're not in for Stones bearing in mind how much Chelsea went in for him last year. Just saying you know, I'm not saying we should be all in for him just thought he might have been linked at the very least.

A loan? Feck off.

Exactly my reaction. I'm sure they can use some of the £50 million they'll receive for Gomes to afford Mata.

Hate this about some European clubs. Try to get players for peanuts from other leagues whilst they themselves demand top dollar for their stars.

How are Villareal going to get £50m for Valencia's Gomes? That is some clever shit. We should sell Aguero to buy Pogba.

That's Valencia. :nervous:
They could use their Bailly or Denis Suarez money though. :D

You guys should sign Rodriguez.

We've had a couple of links to him but from what I've gathered we've decided against him as he's too expensive and we've opted to sign Peres to address the other full-back position instead. Some talk Delph could be a back-up LB to Clichy but will have to wait and see, personally I hope Angelino takes his chance in pre-season. Very offensive LB like Kolarov and impressed on loan at NYCFC. If he can adapt to the physicality of the Premier League and improve defensively he will become a very good player.

Delph at left back. Yes, do that.

Also, some bad news for you from Irrational. Seems clubs can now get the money for selling players from vaguely similar sounding clubs. We are selling Aguero and De Bruyne to finance our transfers so you better start thinking of replacements.

What do you expect from a League where Barca and Real make nearly all of the revenue because of their stranglehold of finance deals? I don't hate them at all for doing that. Juventus and Everton are two clubs that can feck off though. Both constantly overcharge for their players and offer peanuts in return despite being in great financial shape.

You mean some of the £30m they got from us for Eric Bailly. Mata has 2 years left on his contract. It stinks of a Nani repeat. Keep him or sell him now. Players like this are too good to loan out to fleecing Spanish/Portuguese clubs.

I think Delph anywhere would be a pleasant sight for anyone who isn't a Manchester City fan. Although on paper he could be an effective LB against weaker opposition, it would be suicidal to play him against any decent winger. And in that case we'll shift Pogba onto Real Madrid once he's signed, Zidane will chuck us Kroos as a thank-you.

Was never gonna make it, westr ham's website says, "Hammers sign prolific striker" which i think is not true.

Gomes is at Valencia.

Valencia, Villareal... easy mistake to make :D

Yeah, those two clubs in particular are definitely prime culprits for penny pinching. Same goes for Spurs, Porto and PSG.
