On top of that his players poured beer on him ( their tradition ) and it looks as if he pissed himself.

I heard a new one during the week, a LFC fan saying how great they were for doing the double over 8 PL teams this season. I was unaware of this new trophy, but Stevie G has it in his cabinet now.

Diving can't be a legit reason for hating Gerrard considering how many United players dive (all players in general).

Gerrard is one of the more likeable Liverpool players IMO. The huddle after the City game made him look like an absolute idiot though.
City haven't beaten or drawn with West Ham yet, we don't want to be humiliated if something horrible was to happen.

I must admit to agreeing that Gerrard has become a lot more likeable, especially in the last few weeks, he could go down in legend even with oppo fans.
Do you really need more than the DJ thing? No decent person does that. He's a cnut.
I have always gone by the idea, he hates us, so we hate him. That's all.
Well when you think about it that way
As United fans we're not meant to like Gerrard, the guy practically personifies Liverpool. He could have the virtue of Gandhi and the sanctity of Mother Theresa and we would still be expected to not like him. That's just the way it is - opposition fans won't understand it.
You could also have said the same about Carragher and I always liked him, apart from that time he nailed Nani. I like quite a few of the city players as well.
The fact that Gerrard plays up to the rivalry and hates United is actually one of the things I do like about him. I just think he's generally a bit of a dick-head.

Agree about City, but none of them is really 'City', if you know what I mean. They're just a bunch a guys doing their job. I suppose you could say Kompany is becoming their Gerrard but his intelligence makes him hard to dislike.
But, yeah, Gerrard's Liverpool status, his antipathy towards United, and the media's courting of him, renders him universally unlikeable by the majority of United fans. You just can't like him.
That being said ... I listened to him being interviewed on the radio and he seemed alright. It's Gerrard the player that is the subject of our ire.
I think it's more that some respect his longevity and loyalty as we see with our own Giggs and the likes of Scholes, Neville etc.

The DJ thing is the main thing and that's fair enough. People on here seem to dislike him for kissing the camera though and things like that.
People keep saying they hate Gerrard because he loves Phil Collins. What has Phil Collins done to make him so dislikeable? All I know is that he starred in a movie about the train robbery and that he has a few decent Karaoke songs. I can understand despising Stevie G for beating up a DJ then getting King Kenny etc to lie on his behalf in court. But hating him for loving Phil Collins I don't quite understand.
Also was impressive on the Disney Tarzan movie soundtrack I thought. Anyway point is, using Phil Collins as a reason to dislike him is a bit off. He (Gerrard) has an annoying face though.
I hate him already. Hating him because he likes Phil Collins is just icing on the cake. Anybody under 40 that likes Phil Collins is a bore.
