Yeah I guess so. Lots of Sterling kits would be burned.I would have said the same about RVP and Mata, you just never know what will happen in football.

Just this page alone this is what I have learnt so far from our superior Utd brains:
1. Rodgers will finish him midtable (the only full season in Raheem's career has seen him almost winning the league. Ended 2nd)
2. Liverpool are not a club to nurture young talent
3. LvG is a far superior manager of young talent ergo Januzaj must be obviously shit (which one is it Utd fans?)
4. LvG is as good as Mourinho...now that....that is gold.

I think he would end up going back to London personally but it would be almost a Figo type of disloyaltyYeah I guess so. Lots of Sterling kits would be burned.
You have produce nothing in recent years. Sterling was bought from QPR.
LVG won a CL with 7 homegrown players. 6 starters plus Kluivert came on and scored the winner. Who has a better record that LVG that's around now bringing through youth? Also he is still the closest of any manager to winning two CL in a row since the format changed-only beaten on pens in 96.
Also LVG didnt going around crying and flapping when he lost his best player Bergkamp in 93.
His team actually got better. So maybe you should worry about Rodgers being carrier by Suarez. Says a lot that he falls apart because of one player.
Game, set and match
Interesting indeed. I'm popping over the Utd thread to do some Van Gaal searches 18 months ago before The Chosen One was well chosen. Just to see what posters were saying then, or indeed if LvG was even being mentioned with such grandeur and praise.
Edit: found bits and bobs but LvG (or Van Gaal as everyone was calling him before he became your darling) was mentioned behind the likes of Klopp. Certainly none of the sounds we're hearing now that he's wearing the red of Manchester. Funny how perceptions can be inflated after such events.
londred, be a good boy and pick up your little brother's toys.
It's idiotic to argue LVG cant bring through and manage players. It would be like saying Jose can't get teams to defend properly. LVG record with youth is magnificent. Everywhere he has been he has done a brilliant job with young players. To argue otherwise is just insane.
You should pick on something else if you want to get jabs in at LVG.
I have no idea if you're fighting with me, with yourself or with the whole world. If its with me I have no idea what you're talking about. I never said anything about LvG not being able to manage youth (the evidence is out there, I have watched football). The most I mentioned was "either LvG can't manager Januzaj or Januzaj must be shit" as a throwaway statement to highlight the hypocrisy in criticising Brendan's handling of Sterling earlier.
Anyway, I think the moment has passed.
You could argue that a Liverpool to United move is not really comparable to those examples.I would have said the same about RVP and Mata, you just never know what will happen in football.

While that's true, in many eyes wind the clock back and ask that question - I doubt anybody would have thought it conceivable. I also highly doubt Sterling will come here anyway, but I sure as hell would take him.You could argue that a Liverpool to United move is not really comparable to those examples.
It has passed because you took a hammering.
Wonder how Gerrard leaving will affect his plans. He'd be more of a focal point for their attack, but I wonder if he'd be willing to endure the project. If Pool want to keep him, they'll need to show some real intent in the market, otherwise why would he stay unless he's offered a ton of money.
You could argue that Liverpool have played Gerrard out of position just to accommodate him into the side though. That could be construed as making Gerrard an integral part of the side even if the team suffers more with his inclusion.Sterling's been their focal point. Hasn't Gerrard been played in defensive positions which doesn't really suit him much?
I think if Sterling went to United that place would physically melt-down. There would have to be an exclusion zone and everything. The RAWK meltdown thread would be soooooo much fun if they both left in the summer
One of the 'newspapers' said he is ready to sign but the scousers want to add a massive release clause (£65m) whereas he wants it to be more like £40m.
I think he will be a city next season. There is a place for him there.
Really? where did you find that?Hopefully not, he was a Manchester United fan, hoping he'll eventually end up here.
And Carragher/Gerrard/Owen were Everton fans growing upReally? where did you find that?
Funny how stuff happens, I read Solskjaer was a boyhood liverpool fan. As was Sheasey
I'd love him here but just can't see it. Will sign an extension I believe. Hopefully he's smart enough to have a release clause there
He wants a £40million release clause but Liverpool want £65million.

Didnt know that, cheers. Well he holds all the cards so he'l get the 40mil clause if he wants.
