Not a fan of Bruno out wide. Just means that we need an Antony upgrade. You assume wrong. Amrabat will start most games. Don’t be surprised to see Bruno out on the RW

Neither am I. Reference the Arsenal game in preseason. Amrabat is more Mainoo than he is CasemiroNot a fan of Bruno out wide. Just means that we need an Antony upgrade.
If we were buying him as a starter we would have bought him a lot earlier than thisIf Amrabat joins one of Bruno or Mount will end up on the wing most games unless Case or Amrabat are injured.
I think EtH really overestimated Mount's ability. Now that he sees him in training, he is scrambling for alternatives.I said this and someone told me to stop finding things to be negative about. Nothing screams 'priority target' like telling a bloke you're going to bid for him in June, forcing him to train on his own and miss the opening of the season, then coming in for him on deadline day with a £2m loan deal...
As long as Amrabat doesn't hoover up Mainoo's game time, then fine. Still think he isn't particularly needed and I reckon the club feel the same.Neither am I. Reference the Arsenal game in preseason. Amrabat is more Mainoo than he is Casemiro

Like I said we are being offered peanuts as transfer fees. You want us to blindly giveaway players for peanuts just for the sake of it? If Maguire wants to play for another club he has to accept a wage reduction. We can't be paying him to play for another club. It's the punishment for paying silly money for an average player that we have to take.Maguire we refused to payoff despite him having no business at the club.
Mctominay we refused £30m for despite that being probably his price.
There are two.
First phase midfielder. No idea what you’re on about to be honest
I pretty much expect ETH to know the available finances and organize his priorities accordingly. We agreed personal terms with Amrabat in June. The manager isn’t responsible for leaving it till now to put the bid in, we all know who is responsible

I think he will not care about the transfer fee as long as his salary is where it should be.Even if he joins now can you imagine how he will feel...
... now it's clear his preferred club values him at 2m? Christ on a bike - you couldn't make this stuff up.
Hes most definately needed. If the club don’t think so and the manager does. Thats a big problemAs long as Amrabat doesn't hoover up Mainoo's game time, then fine. Still think he isn't particularly needed and I reckon the club feel the same.
He isn’t going from a formation with two 8s with a high press and a more attacking angle to suddenly dropping that for a midfielder who has 2 goals and 3 assists in 117 games.Hopefully it's a case of realizing we've made a mistake with buying Mount to be a starter, and trying to rectify that now.
I'd take a Casemiro/Amrabat double-pivot right now over what we've been doing.
Does he have to be signed before lunchtime tomorrow to be involved against Arsenal?
Literally anyone could have told him this before we bid £50m. We could have got this lad and Gravenbach for the same money.I think EtH really overestimated Mount's ability. Now that he sees him in training, he is scrambling for alternatives.
He hasn't played all summer and the start of the season due to being on the way to us (apparently), so even if he could play I doubt he would.Does he have to be signed before lunchtime tomorrow to be involved against Arsenal?

I'd rather we prioritised Mainoo's development. I don't see a way in which Amrabat wouldn't limit his involvement.Hes most definately needed. If the club don’t think so and the manager does. Thats a big problem
This is a bit naive.I pretty much expect ETH to know the available finances and organize his priorities accordingly.

We prioritise it by making him fight for a starting spot, and learn from his seniors. It's up to him to prove that he's a world class talent who deserves to start.I'd rather we prioritised Mainoo's development. I don't see a way in which Amrabat wouldn't limit his involvement.
It was months, now it's a month at most.Mainoo is out for months.

This fecking forum.I think it is time for Ten Hag to pack his bags. This is not going to end well.

How on earth are a club as big as Utd struggling so much to fund basic transfers.
It's beyond a joke how badly this club has been run.
Think he's due back in October last I saw.Mainoo is out for months.
This is just top notch catastrophising, keep it up.Even if he joins now can you imagine how he will feel...

Too much competition is a drawback. Overcoming Casemiro is competition enough. We prioritise it by making him fight for a starting spot, and learn from his seniors. It's up to him to prove that he's a world class talent who deserves to start.
It has its upsides as Bruno has some great crosses from that side that Hojlund could get on the end of.Not a fan of Bruno out wide. Just means that we need an Antony upgrade.
I’m not sure we did continuously get run over in midfieldYou're most likely right, and we'll continue to get run over in the middle of the park as a result.
True actually. I didn't consider this possibility due to the huge void we have had up there. It has its upsides as Bruno has some great crosses from that side that Hojlund could get on the end of.
Not worse than ordering a Black n’ Tan in Ireland.Sin of the times.
Not sure which take is naive, mine or yours. ETH was here last summer when we spent 100m on Antony who he coached for 2 years. Are you telling me that ETH can not veto a transfer when it's getting into ridiculous numbers? Or that ETH should not care? Manager is pretty much part of the recruitment department, by all accounts he is the one choosing the talent and profile, and by now it's been how many former players? This is a bit naive.
If your DOF football says its all good why would the manager not believe him? The manager is not the recruitment department.
Remember we paid a-lot more than we anticipated paying for Hojlund (not the managers fault) and generated a-lot less in sales than wanted too (not the managers fault)
Also remember he had to fight to get a new keeper over keeping DDG.
I reckon this is a classic case of the club overselling to the manager and under delivering. Which we know has been happening over a number of years.
On ETHs part he was naive to believe our recruitment department could be competent and was naive not to demand a proper DOF be in place when he took the job. The fact most of our signings have prior connection to ETH shows the DOF and recruitment department is just not functioning well at all.
