I can agree that if the ref thought he was grabbing his neck that should be a red - in any situation not just ours.I'm not being soft, I just know what the refs and the FA are like.
I don't think it was violent conduct, I just think the head and neck are completely out of the question as to where a ref will send you off for touching, regardless of what you do. More cyncism than being soft.
Who the feck hires this guy as a pundit? He makes Souness look sane.

Like you said it's to be controversial it's been like that for years and got worse. Talkshite I call it. I listen most mornings and drive time home. And mostly it's crap. The issues are biased presenters etc, what you don't here is the Liverpool bashing like UTD had for years when Ole was in charge .The hearsay around TalkSport is that each host is told to give controversial views just to get social media traction...this take from Gabby was a bit to obvious really.
Awful channel, they could do so much better, but why try when its all about views.
I absolutely loathe this ghoul. The feckwit needs to be removed from everywhere.

Was Chris WaddlePat Nevin (I think it was him) on 5Live described it as the worst decision he had ever seen and said the over all refereeing of the game was a shambles. Both pundits on MoTD said it was "very harsh". we should be appealing the decision
He was saying that about Antony. Not Bruno. He had him by the collar.
ESPN FC should do phone ins.
Burley managed to blame Bruno for the whole thing and in the process said he was a pain in the backside who thinks he's a 200m pound player, but is really just doing ok.
The moment he was called to review, I knew exactly which replay he was going to get. It’s funny how they make a heavily scrutinized decision, albeit not incorrect, and atone for it, they make us pay the price. I only wonder for how much longer, because it seems to me that we have paid with dividends already. It’s really winding me up.
What VAR did wasn’t present the referee with evidence that he committed a red card offence, they carefully selected and actually edited footage that gave the referee no choice but to send him off.
It shouldn’t be VAR’s job to cut and splice and present a case for a red card like that.

I wouldn't broach the subject that way thoughAnd everyone will know and say he's a liar and a cnut if he doesn't tell the obvious truth.
Kinda looked like that to me too, but it's done and dusted i guess.No. He was holding his collar of his shirt the whole time. The moment and angle the VAR showed the ref made it look like Casemiro was choking him. If you're making ref go and look at it, feckin show him the whole thing.

not the one I heard - waddle isn't a Scot!Was Chris Waddle
Very likely if they ask him imo. He seems like a quite decent guy. He didn't fake it or cause a scene when Casemiro put his hands on his collar. Many other players would have. They even hugged and laughed afterward.
And everyone will know and say he's a liar and a cnut if he doesn't tell the obvious truth.
The referees have to be blamed! It’s due to their incompetence the situation was escalated. After Schlupp took out Anthony, stared at him cold blooded and walked away like thug, the referee and the lineman did nothing. It was at least a yellow card and worthy of red card because it is actually a violent conduct.I can agree that if the ref thought he was grabbing his neck that should be a red - in any situation not just ours.
But with the proper view it's clear he never did that, he just grabbed his shirt.
It's a yellow at worst, but VAR has purposely showed the worst angle with the most 'intent' slowed down. I don't blame the ref, I blame VAR.
Agree on that, seemed like they weren't concerned at all that our player could have got hurt. The referees have to be blamed! It’s due to their incompetence the situation was escalated. Ha, well they are the exact words that Chris Waddle said on 5 Live yesterday during the match waddle's comment halfway down the pagenot the one I heard - waddle isn't a Scot!
1. The linesman signalled the foul IMMEDIATELY.The referees have to be blamed! It’s due to their incompetence the situation was escalated. I don't think there's any mistake when you have someone's thumbs on your voicebox if we try and appeal that he's going to get a 4 game ban instead of 3 and miss the final. The mistake was the referees and VARs not Casemiro’s. It’s not something we should just accept, it’s not right.
Yeah. I don’t remember the lineman flagged the incidence at all. What was he doing at that time? Unbelievable.Agree on that, seemed like they weren't concerned at all that our player could have got hurt.
hopefully now ETH has spoken publicly they'll get their act together.
Watch the replay.Yeah. I don’t remember the lineman flagged the incidence at all. What was he doing at that time? Unbelievable.
The lineman flagged it a threw!1. The linesman signalled the foul IMMEDIATELY.
2. The ref gave Schlupp a yellow card.
3. The refs (VAR + on-field ref) gave Casemiro a deserved, in my opinion, red card.
My main problem with the refereeing performance yesterday is that Ayew should've been sent off too. Beyond that, not much else the refs could've done.

Seriously, all of three are nonsense! You are 100% right, why did they look at just one incident? Ayew punched/held Fred's neck and got away with it.
When you’re done looking up the rules of association football, you should research human anatomy because last time I checked the voice box wasn’t in the shoulders, which is where Case was holding Hughes.I don't think there's any mistake when you have someone's thumbs on your voicebox if we try and appeal that he's going to get a 4 game ban instead of 3 and miss the final.
People are just upset because they've seen it's not violent (or pinning all their hopes on one angle as if the other is a lie, rather than using both), but ignoring that to the rules that's not actually important.
If the F.A decide to extend the ban to 4 games he'd miss the carabao cup final so I don't see the club taking the risk
There's more than one angle to look at and even the most ardent "yellow carder" acknowledges his thumbs are obviously on the front of his neckWhen you’re done looking up the rules of association football, you should research human anatomy because last time I checked the voice box wasn’t in the shoulders, which is where Case was holding Hughes.

That's not the shoulders.
I don't think we'll appeal. I'm pretty sure even grabbing another player with two hands by the collar is a solid red card offence by the rules and that's the best possible excuse that we can come up with (which relies on you only look at things from one angle)? Take the ban and have him fresh for the cup final imo.Look you might be right but it's bang out of order if those feckers at FA consider this frivalous
