Sneijder to Galatasaray?

Read today that he could be available for 8mi. feck me, if that's not value. He's been crap because he's being shut at Inter with a very disturbing environment. He was one of the few bright spots in that Netherlands team at the Euros.

It's not value if he wants 200k+ a week.

I think if he wants United more so than anywhere else (no evidence for this) then he'll know that reasonably he's not worth that much to us. This is all about his wages, so I can't imagine he would want a drop and that is why PSG seem likely. feck maybe even City will go for him if they're feeling a little desperate.

In saying this, I think he'd do well for us.

He is definetely better player then Nasri, and on top form is better then Silva too, but question is, can he return his form.

I wanted him for years to sign for us, but I don't want him now. His injury record is awfull, and he rarely looked good recently when fit too.

Says it all for me too.

On the other hand, I trust Fergie. If he pulls the trigger, I'm not gonna bitch about it.

When you look at our injuries, I'd take him at 8m as just a squad player! Can play anywhere along the front 3 behind the striker, and who knows, maybe Fergie could 'scholes' him - and move him back into the centre circle as he gets old.

His quality is undeniable.

This ship has long since sailed. Injury prone prima donna. No thanks.

This.

We've since brought in VP and Kagawa, and to try and fit Rooney, Kagawa and Sneijder in would take some doing.

Or he'll go to Spurs.

That kind of hints at complete BS!

Man United Offered ‘Big Chance’ to Sign £11m Inter Milan Playmaker Wesley Sneijder

Old Trafford side strongly linked with move to finally capture long term target.

WESLEY SNEIJDER last night opened the door for a cut-price £11million January move from Inter Milan to Manchester United or Tottenham.

The Inter superstar has been frozen out at the San Siro after refusing to accept a £1.6m-a-year pay cut.

He has run out of patience and demanded a move, putting pressure on the Italians to accept a low fee or pay his lucrative deal until 2015.

Sneijder, 28, said: “It’s clear it is the best for everyone concerned that in January I am transferred.”

Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni has left Sneijder out of the team.

But Inter’s £40m valuation and his astronomical £10m-a-year wages proved a stumbling block 18 months ago.

This could be United’s big chance to capture one of the world’s great midfielders — but if they pass it up then Spurs will be waiting to pounce.

This source points out that Wesley Sneijder could well be the perfect replacement for veteran Paul Scholes and the door does appear to be open to a move by Sir Alex Ferguson to capture a long term target.

The Inter Milan man wants out after being frozen from the Nerazzurri first team and would probably jump at the chance of a move to Old Trafford.

Though Ferguson stated that he wouldn’t be bringing in any new players this month it’s entirely possible that the chance to sign the 28 year old Dutch international may be too much of an opportunity for the Scot to pass up on. The fact that national team colleague Robin Van Persie is present in his squad could act as a further motivating factor for the former Ajax and Real Madrid man to push for an Old Trafford switch.

Sneijder had an excellent first season at the San Siro, winning a treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles in Jose Mourinho’s final season in charge of the Italian giants, however things have not gone according to plan over the past two and a half years.

Inter Milan have struggled for form and a number of manager’s have come and gone and the club even missed out on a Champions League berth. However new boss Andrea Stramaccioni has the club back on track but has done so largely without Sneijder.

Man United could well do with freshening up their midfield and the addition of a creative talent like Sneijder could well assist in their pursuit of major honours and the Inter Milan man would be available for Champions League action this term.

down to £11m now?!

If we give it another year he will be paying us to sign him.

We don't need him now.

At £1m it's a waste of money, let alone 11.

People will argue we didn't need RVP and look what he's done, but the difference is RVP was a world class player in world class form. Sneijder was a world class player whose form has been anything but.

I'd rather we spent £11m elsewhere.

You wouldn't take him for £1 million? That's just one slice of Bebe if you cut him into 9 pieces.

Well, yeah, obviously he'd be a useful option.

But seeing as we're struggling to get all our attacking players into the team as it is, adding another who would be on high wages and expecting to play every week seems like a waste.

I doubt he'd get that unless he's willing to go to Russia or maybe PSG. Too many injury problems and poor form generally.

If he wants to come to then PL then he'll have to accept less money. Depends what he's motivated by I suppose.

Obviously a talent, if he's physically fit and has no long them issues he could be a shrewd signing.

He won't cost £11 million. He'll probably be a free transfer or low fee, but for some reason the media haven't worked this out yet and keep quoting fantasy prices. They seem to be missing the point that Inter want him off their wage bill. If they ask for a decent fee on top of the wages the buying club will have to pay, there is no way they'll be able to get rid of him. Sneijders people will trying to get his contract cancelled at the moment. Inter will be trying to see if they can drum up any interest at a low fee. But both parties are aware that no one is going to pay double figure millions for a player who is soon 29 and on huge wages, that the selling club can't afford to pay anymore.

Oh come on mate. Rather we need him or not, I'd take him for either of those transfer fee's.

I would sign him for that price, right away. Watched him in the Euro and thought he was still one of the best player in the tournament.

Hasn't the real issue with Sneijder always been his wage demands? Something like 200k/week, as best I can recall.

I don't see it happening, even if he's willing to come down to 150k/week.

£11 million would be a great price for him if he was willing to accept reasonable wages.

Not sure whether Sir Alex would want a player who rejected United over wages and isn't renowned for putting a shift in (as well as there being question marks over how good he is in a midfield 2- even so he was great for Holland at left midfield at the Euros), but I can see the Glazers begging Fergie to consider it. The deal makes great commercial sense for the club, especially with our kit deal with Nike coming up.

He's also not cup tied in Europe, is he? You're not going to find a better quality player at that price who isn't cup tied.

i think this would be key to us moving for him.
