Sneijder to Galatasaray?

I think he would've been fairly shite had he come here (that is at the time he joined Gala). Kind of like a Veron signing where he just wouldn't have fit into the squad. No chance at CM, and even in the hole despite his creativity I don't think he would be anywhere near productive enough to warrant that position for us.

But of course. 2 years later at 28 years of age and he just turned shit.

You think Rooney has been good? I've been disappointed with him for a while now. He's stagnated. Sneijder hasn't digressed any more than Rooney has.

One of the commentators yesterday said that apparently Fatih Terim didnt even want Sneijder, he wanted Kaka, and publicly stated that fact as well

Going by your logic (or lack of) he still is.

Sneijder's been poor since the Treble season. He's still a decent player but no longer the world class playmaker we saw in 2010.

You seem to have not watched a lot of him in recent seasons.

How is that my logic? I've seen Sneijder, I've seen Torres. Torres has been shit, Sneijder has been more like Rooney in terms of showing his ability now and what he showed a few years ago. Sneijder was very good yesterday against a side where non of our own players showed a good attacking performance.

You seem to think that I think that he'll walk into our side. I didn't say that. I say he's better than what we have in his best position. A role which we rarely use. I don't know if I say that next year because this is Kagawa's first season (in that position I prefer Kagawa over Rooney).

You say he's been shit since 2010. I say he's been injured. This season and the last he's played 90 minutes 11 times. That's his problem. Not his abilities. In the 10/11 season he provide Inter with a goal or an assist in every other game. Not bad is it? Far from being Torres.

So he scored last night against Madrid, did anyone watch the match? should we have gone for him or not?

Him and Drogba spent the first half slugging about like veterans struggling to reclaim their glory years.

Both got their mo-jo back in the second half. Sneijder missed a tap-in before that brilliantly incisive goal. Still laden with talent, but dips frustratingly in and out of games and isn't consistently operating at his mid-20s level.
