Smashley Young

You can learn to read your post before. You said you have never seen anything like you did from Young tonight and I gave you an example from what Nani did against West Ham that was even worse. Nothing to do with when he last dived or not.

No I didn't, I said he doesn't.

Past tense, present tense, all that sort of thing. English, yo'.

So..... Rolling around like a cnut who's injured trying to con the referee is different or somehow less bad than just plain going over to win a penalty?... feck this place comes out with some weird justifications sometimes.

No it's also cnutish. But it's not a dive.

They're both bad, but one is blatantly cheating, while the other is exaggerating something the ref might have missed. You don't like to see it but it happens, and you can't really cut that out. You can cut out diving though, and I'd be fine with giving players retrospective yellow cards or something for diving (not a 3 match ban like Eduardo got a few years ago which was too much IMO).

Sorry, but :lol:. Probably the funniest thing I have ever read on this forum.

Go and defend Nani more now.

 I said what Nani does is also a cnutish thing. Which is not something positive, you know. But you said Nani dives as well which is just not true, at least not in the manner Young does.

feck me, have a fecking word with yourself.

I think you're just having trouble understanding what the word "dive" means in football terms. If there's contact on the feet, and it's a foul, however small of a foul, it's not a dive. He can roll around after and pretend to be injured which is cnutish, but it's not diving. Understand?

So you would rather see you're players diving around the pitch then have them exaggerate contact like nani does? You should be the one having a fecking word with yourself if so. Basically saying cheating like Young does week in week out is okay.

I think him and ghaliboy just don't understand the difference between actually diving and just exaggerating contact. That or they don't think diving is that bad or a problem.

Exaggerating contact is exactly what Young did.

Or maybe it's the same, and it's called cheating. Something Young and your favourite Nani does.

Just don't mind. Some of the discussions on here really make you dumber.

Its the same fecking thing you diseased clam.

It should be harsher IMO. Especially if it is a repeated offense. That would be the only way to cut it. If a player will get a yellow every five dives (and a couple of penalties) like Young does, then likely he won't cut it. Moyes was very anti-diving and while it is too criticize other teams player for doing it, the real challenge is to take sanctions against your own players. Hopefully a punishment in games and/or wages is on process.

What? Being hit and then screaming and exageratting a bit on order for referee to see it in case he missed it, is the same as willingly falling on the pitch without getting touched?

What Nani does is when he gets fouled he rolls around on the floor. Maybe he's a low pain threshold who knows. It's a bit cnutish though no question. But it's a fecking foul most of the time. Young is not getting fouled and dives. It's not that difficult to grasp surely.

Sure thing that exaggerating and diving are two different things but they're as embarrassing and I have no idea why you'd try to split it. That dive today was woeful but if it wasn't Young but anybody else in our team, it would've been a complete other reaction, or in fact, lack of overreaction. I myself hope that he's sold sooner than later but today he still managed to create more than anybody else on the pitch bar Kagawa.

Oh, and Nani's last game every time he got dispossessed he was hitting the deck like he got struck by lightning yet I can't recall such slating. ( since, for some reason, we've managed to get Nani involved in this discussion )

Because one retarded poster on here claimed that Nani dives. Then we had to explain him it's quite some time ago Nani really dived. He's a drama queen but not a fecking diver like Young or Bale are.

Let me think a bit...You're right. I wonder why though. Might it be because he does it all the time and in every game?

Conning the referee and conning the referee are the same thing? Shock fecking horror.

Alright, couldn't be bothered to read through all this twaddle, pardon me.

Fair enough, but this is false logic. So a dive does not equal a dive now?

That's probably because games like that don't happen every game for him, and when it did happen half of our supporters embarrassingly booed him off the pitch. Most of us on here probably felt more sorry for him so didn't feel the need to slate him much, although everyone did say he was pretty shit.

Saying to referee that the opposite player hits me is the same as falling in the pitch without being touched?

A dive is a dive. But a dive coming from a player who dives everytime he is near an opposite player will get criticized more than a dive coming from a player who usually doesn't dive. Young uses the diving as a part of his game which is shameful while players who dives one in two-three years very likely are frustrated at that moment, because you know they don't usually do it.

Aye, I felt for him too but it still no explanation. If we want to stick to some principles then fine, let's do so, but let's apply them everywhere. If we preaching, then we practice.

He didn't dive though, he just sat on the floor rolling around and feeling sorry for himself when he was fouled and it wasn't going his way. Obviously it's still stupid and dopey as feck but Young's dive would have won us the game tonight and has done so in the past, it's a whole other level.

Oh and Nani may not have got that reaction on here, but he certainly did from the fans.

Apart from his diving about. How is Young still playing in front of players like Nani and Zaha... Need to give Zaha a chance am sure he can't be as bad as Young.

And I think that we agreed in aprox 90% that they behaved like cnuts.

What do you think about Young playing ahead of Nani?

I'm happy when United win games yes. Nobody wept for us when the referee sorted out Madrid against us last season.

I find it hilarious that the same 'fans' who are so precious about how United should play the games and the same ones who will be shouting 'Moyes Out' if we end up with nothing at the end of season.

What exactly are you basing this on? Laughable comment.

Experience.

You can wait until United go out of Europe because another team got a soft penalty to prove my opinion wrong. I really don't see anyone saying 'jolly bad luck United! But it's not whether you win, it's how you play the game!'

I find it so weird that many people are so quick to condemn diving and other forms of gamesmanship, but usually applaud thugs and bullies on the pitch, who seek to physically harm their opponents. Young's exaggeration gave us a chance to win the game, Fellaini's egregious amount of fouls and inevitable sending off gave Real Sociedad a chance to win the game, yet it's Young who is getting abused by our fans.

Im saying that.

If anything, its posters who see nothing wrong with diving and cheating to win games who are most likely to be so obsessed with winning every game that they get on Moyes' back if we dont win anything. Why on earth would someone who dont put winning in itself ahead of winning the right way be the same who want us to fire someone at the first opportunity? Doesnt make any sense.

As I said, this is a something we may see played out later in the season ( but hopefully not). Let's just see...

If were going to vilify Suarez (rightfully so), then we have to do the same with Ashley Young because there are similarities there. Like Suarez, Young has been reprimanded by both Sir Alex and David Moyes about diving, and it hasn't stopped from him, it's become something he does. What makes this even more dumbfounding is Moyes made an issue about this with him only a few weeks ago and it's still happening.
