Smashley Young

Well this is a ridiculous viewpoint to take. The penalty was clearly a dive, but feck that, I wanted it buried.

I really hate cheating and disliked Barca for that all the time (when all people went nuts for them). It doesn't change anything and makes it more acceptable if the cheater is a United player.

Had any other player dived it wouldn't come close to this reaction. People here are foaming at the mouth in anticipation of having a go.

Of course, but what does that tell you about Ashley Young? There's a reason he gets this reaction, because he's done it lots before, been called up on it by our managers, and still does it over and over again, oh and there's the fact that he's not a good footballer.

He's willing to tarnish his reputation in order for us to win the game. True red. Moyes should have a word with him to praise him and tell him not to take in all the abuse.

Nobody appreciated it when you posted it earlier so you're trying again?

I guess you were so angry when Rooney won the pen against Arsenal in 2004 and couldn't stand him after that..

I wasn't into the dive. I thought it was really dodgy and it's something I would prefer not to see. All I am saying is that if it happens from time to time I'll accept that there is at least one player at every club that will try it, and it's always going to be in the game.

I wouldn't let it ruin the game for me, and if RVP scored I would have been happy whilst knowing it was dodgy of Young

think he was good for the first 5 mins he played, then he faded.

Absolutely right. When he came on I thought "cor, he's up for this!". Then he just went in to Ashley Young mode after that.

But Nani dives too! So he will have to be out of the team as well then. I guess we should be fair?

Worst thing with the dive was that he had the Swedish commentator throwing a massive fit, he went completely nuts. I'm positive I smelled his devilish breath coming out of my speakers at one point.

People genuinely claiming he had a right to go down. Astonishing.

If Moyes wants to gain any respect out of this, he'll enforce a ban on him and levy a huge fine.

Agreed.

When was the last time he dived to win a penalty?

Can't remember the last time he dived at all. He's just a fecking drama queen and we all know that but I don't think he goes down without beeing touched much at all.

Exactly. He goes down a bit easy at times and makes the most of fouls to get what he wants but he does nothing like what we saw from Young tonight.

It's not acceptable. You call the dive a dive, and you criticise the player for it after. But once the penalty is given that's that, you take it and hope you score it.

It's a huge difference when a player who hardly ever dives does it, and when someone like Young does it. Young does it pretty much every game, multiple time a game. That's just added to the fact that he's easily our worst winger in our squad and the most disliked one from a United fan standpoint.

 West Ham when he got sent off and tried to dive to say it was Lucas Neill who was the bad guy.

Do you really need proves that Nani dives? Are you some kind of Nani lover?
Nani has his critics we all know that but does Young get booed at all by the OT faithfull? And he doesn't have half the ability of Nani

Yeah, that was four years ago, you had to go back four years, to when he was 22 years old, to think of a dive?

Evidence isn't really working in your favour on this one.

He really doesn't dive that much. He exaggerates contact a shit load and rolls around, but he hardly ever dives like Young. Most players in the world feign injury and roll around at small bits of contact, but not all of them dive around like Young, which is just embarassing. It's like players have no self respect really. Why would you want the whole world knowing that you're a crying pussy, rolling around and faking injury even if nothing happened to you (this applies to all players who feign injury, not just Nani or Young).

You can learn to read your post before. You said you have never seen anything like you did from Young tonight and I gave you an example from what Nani did against West Ham that was even worse. Nothing to do with when he last dived or not.

So..... Rolling around like a cnut who's injured trying to con the referee is different or somehow less bad than just plain going over to win a penalty?... feck this place comes out with some weird justifications sometimes.
