Television Severance (Apple TV) | Spoiler anything that has not been aired, i.e trailer content, BTS stuff

I’ve read through comments since the first episode and there are no spoilers that aren’t in tags as far as I can see?

Yeah can people clearly label spoilers if they relate to episode previews or trailers? Basically anything that hasn’t been in an aired episode? I don’t want to know that shit and I avoid it on purpose.

Yeah the comments about the post credit/preview scene confused me, didn't know there was one but also don't want to know about that ... That should be spoilered separately.

It literally mentioned there is a BTS post-credits at the start of the episode to be fair. I just didn’t watch it because I didn’t think there would be anything of note there.

One of the best tv shows of all time for me, it’s such a unique plot line. Can’t think of anything even remotely similar. You have to pay attention to every single thing

"Why are you a child?"
"Because of when I was born."

My theory of the show is they are trying to recreate the consciousness of Kier, and then “grow” a new civilization with that exact mindset, hence the goats.

Lumon give off Scientology vibes but there’s so many references to the LDS Church? like their ongoing obsession with their founder, kept (Joseph smith) and their reverence for current and previous CEO’s of Lumon.

Some of the dialogue in S2E1 was just brilliant. "Your outies fame has gone to your innies head."

Can't wait for more.

The work is mysterious and important.

I find it strange that we haven't been shown Dylans outie self at all, so definitely a big reveal coming there. My own theory is that they are trying to cure forms of trauma/depression, so mark represents grief, Irving represents PTSD and Dylan perhaps obesity? The numbers illicit emotional responses, so they are probably able to aggregate certain things from how they refine their data. I also have no idea what Helena would be trying to achieve by going undercover on the severed floor. This is just such a weird show and I can't get enough.

I think Helena is just a spy now to keep an eye on the others as she kept making a thing of the cameras not being there any more. Obviously they won't need them if they have a mole in the room with them at all times. I don't think it will take them long to figure it out either. I guess also as Mark was so insistent that he gets his old team back, the even more simple explanation could be that she had to do it if they wanted the work completing. Considering her innie tried to kill herself in S1 because her outie kept sending her back I doubt you'd risk sending the innie back knowing what she now knows about her outie self.

And yeah you might be on to something with Dylan as well.

Really looking forward to the next episode already. When is it out?

In the trailer for season 2 they show DELETED BY MOD

The other thing I picked up on with Irving is His outie is 100% staying awake as long as possible so that his innie gets tired. He has a huge pot of coffee beside him and it's clearly nighttime, plus the extremely loud heavy metal music. He wants to fall asleep at work, perhaps because it bypasses the chip, and milchick seems pretty adamant that dosing off on the job is not allowed

Ooh I like that second observation. Good spot.

Motherfecker. I did warn in this thread.

I'll remove that trailer spoiler from my quote too as I haven't and don't want to watch any. Thankfully I'm getting old so won't remember this time next week.

If you do not clearly spoiler text that mention things not aired, warnings will be given out.
