I'm starting to believe this might happen, that will be a good outcome for de Gea leaving. After the initial report that Ramos wanted out there has been no news from Ramos, RM or MUFC and he hasn't extended yet. His brother Rene Ramos did work out a deal to extend Marcelo's contract, but not his brother the next captain of RM? Ramos has won everything at RM and might genuenly fancy the PL as a new experience as he's becoming older, especially as he now sees how ruthless RM deals with legends as Casillas. We can also improve his paycheck.

I've decided I want Ramos, we already signed Memphis and Schneiderlin which I really wanted. If he comes it's great, if he extends with RM I'm fine with Otamendi. The latter is on holiday anyways, we're not in a rush to sign him. Come on Woody

FFS, stop stalking me. I'm innocent ok. They got the wrong man

Yeah, hate these long feckers. Contrary to your love for them ;) ....we're talking about meetings, obviously.

You're as guilty as sin pal - embrace it & lose the denial mentality :D

Best of luck in the meeting anyway Ish. I'm sure you'll wing it well - if you talk the same amount of bollocks as you do on here

Apparently been named club captain, I guess that puts the transfer saga to rest. Get Otamendi please.

Always been in the Otamendi camp for this (if we got both, obviously I would be pleased), but I'm starting to get the impression that this is a matter of "your move first" between the two clubs. This focus on Ramos from Madrid seems ridiculously petulant - they've shown how they can just cast aside "legends" at the club with the they treated Iker this week & I wouldn't expect anything less with Ramos if he truly wanted to leave.

There's still a massive chance De Gea could just feck off tonight for all we know & Ramos will get a new contract, but this has potential to be drawn out until August 31st.

Most likely Ramos agitating for a new contract AND Real using it to bring United to the table over De Gea, thus destabilizing our player and keeping momentum.

I'm glad to see that in Season 2, Woodward is becoming wise to this sort of thing. He was there for the taking last summer.

Ramos isn't going anywhere, time to put the RIP on this one.

Do you think that if Ramos is not going anywhere then De Gea is staying?

I've already bet £200 at 7/2 on De Gea staying. Considering we're playing hardball over wanting Ramos to come otherwise no De Gea I could stick another £100 on him joining us at the same odds. Could lose £300, win £50 or £600!

If Gill was still in command we would still be discussing whether Scholes can still give us another year.

This may be an unpopular opinion here but I believe De Gea will still be here after the transfer window closes and he'll sign a new contract with us before January.
