He's potentially a much better player than Tevez.

I honestly think if City just got one box to box midfielder or creative central type they'd be a force.

what Tevez does is remarkable but he does not make for great team play, he's overly self reliant and doesnt really compliment any other players. Yes he works hard for the benefit of the team but can anyone ever really think of a partnership where he's looked great?

Aguero on the other hand can link up better, Tevez was the perfect lone striker but just like Torres he doesnt seem to fit in other systems and struggles badly. But unlike Torres he will sacrifice himself.

If Mancini can get a system to accomodate Aguero and another out and out striker then they can make it interesting this season.

Uhhhh Yaya Toure and Silva?

Uhhhh Yaya Toure and Silva?

i think Toure in the advanced position is not ideal, he should take the position of Barry to allow Silva to play the advanced role in the middle.

Until City commit to dominate, commit to the attacking potential of the team and lose the tendancy to play so defensively then they wont be the force they can be.

Aguero denied it on twitter supposedly.

Thank the spaghetti monster. Was very surprised to see this coming from him.

Unbelievable how the sun gets away with this shit. Here in Iceland the writer could be prosecuted for writing this slander and therefor couldn't hide behind corporate money. Fear of losing ones job over lies should be installed into the media so they don't come up with this shit constantly.

"Since I came to England I have not given any interviews to the media. The statements that have been published are not my words.

"Therefore, I deny making statements comparing myself to Che Guevara

....

I like how The Sun constantly try to take advantage of foreigners who barely know the language.

One thing twitter has been brilliant for is denying such fabricated interviews.

Hopefully the constant egg on their faces from twitter denials would deter them.

Their pockets are too deep to ever care about potential lawsuits though, lawsuits courts hand out minimal damages regardless.

That's why it should be that way that the journalist is sued, not the paper. The journalist in no way can afford to to be sued. Two journalist have gone bankrupt for slander in the paper this year in Iceland. However our rules are a bit unfair in that matter but that's another story.

 funny shit all the same, the Che of football.

Hadnt realised the quotes originated with the Sun.

"I like tricks, I like to dazzle, I like to be able to score a goal with one leg bent round the other so that you smack the ball into the net with your wrong foot.

"Dribbling and leaving your opponent on his backside is what life is for."

 Had to have been written by some know nothing hack. Either that or Aguero has the mind of a 4 year old: "I like it when I smack the ball hard with my big toe and it flies like a banana past the goaly man."

Hopefully we hear about Tevez to Inter soon after... Although its entirely possible they could play together in City's front 3

Actually we have. This from Marco Branca today:

Turning to Manchester City striker Tevez, Branca was asked about a possible bid for the want-away forward.

"There has only been one meeting between us and it was completely by chance and very pleasant," he added.

"It was on a beach in Sardinia, but I've been back here for a while now and there will be no follow-up."

He Tevez and Silva up front would be an awesome combination on paper.

I'll still laugh my tits off if Tevez is there though.

I bet Tevez is thinking about staying now is fellow Argentine compatriot has arrived.

Maybe because he doesn't want City to have a new hero or maybe because they are close.

Either way he should stick to his word, be a man and feck off.

I guess now we face the possibility that they'll play together in City's attack and that Aguero coming in might even settle Tevez down a bit

How is Aguero coming in gonna settle Tevez down a bit?

Another quality player, international team mate he's played with before. At the moment theres no chance of him going to Argentina or Brazil to be with his family so these things might shut him up for a while

I really hope they play those 3

No width or proper wing play would see them throttle all their play through the middle and have little success, like Spain against the Swiss at the world cup. Especially if Richards continues to play from RB. The only proper attacking width they'd get is from Clichy/Kolarov

He had Zabaleta as an international team mate, he's played with before. I don't think this Aguero signing would make any bearing on Tevez's decision to stay or not, if anything I could see City selling him now considering they've already got his replacement.

Yes but to who? Inter were the ones linked with him in europe, Branca said there will be no more meetings about him

If theres no buyer they cant sell him

And the point is that Aguero is a new Argentine team mate and quality player coming in to go with Zabaleta already there etc. its the fresh element which means he might settle down for a little while especially given his lack of options at least till Jan when Corinthians say they might come back in for him

Why?

"Hey Tevez what's the matter? Why so glum? You have an Argentina pal with you and everything?"

"Yeah but things aren't quite right. Don't know what it is. Perhaps because my family isn't here, I don't know"

"Hey Tevez, we just signed another Argentine!"

"Where them balls at!? Let's go win some titles!"

Somehow I don't think any of this matters. Fact is he wants to go (as far as we now) but City won't sell. Only one club has made a bid because the actual clubs with money really don't have room for him for his price.

Yup. Pretty much what they have now. Their squad really hasn't changed all that much from last season. I don't think Aguero will make a massive impact.

Well Johnson gives width when he plays, but it seems more and more likely that he wont be a starter.

If City were smart they'd replace him with another wide player not more Agueros and Balotellis and Silvas, who might be able to do a thing or two in wide areas now and again but gravitate inside where they can get their shots away instead of beating men on the wing and getting quality delivery in.

I actually could see him being sold to Madrid. Mourinho wants a striker.

Tevez/Dzeko

Balotelli/Silva-----------------Aguero--------------Milner/Johnson

Barry/Toure--------------De Jong

Clichy---------Lescott/Toure-----------Kompany---------Richards

Oh dear, Diego Costa is out for 6 months. He might have been the one to replace Aguero in the Atletico Side...

aguero's preference was to remain in spain, with city rivals real seemingly the most likely destination, but atletico were keen to resist such a move.

:d

Well yeah he had comments about having no problem going over to Real as at Atletico its just a job. In Argentina he'd be loyal to his club but not there. So I guess that means we could reverse-Tevez him in the future.
